blog candy winner AND some holiday sketch cards!

and we have a winner!!! Jessica send me your info! sorry i am a bit late today - between playgroup, errands and attempting to go out and play before it got to hot the mornign got away from me. of course it didn't help that a PILE of new stamps arrived in the mail yesterday which i played with before everyone got up :)

so today i have a few holiday cards for you - the first is from a technostamper sketch - it is a little late but i love it. when i first saw the sketch i thought UGH i am not into arrows...NEVER used one that i can think of - but then as i was working on some other holiday cards it suddenly occerred to me that this is perfect for......:

a santa stop here card! the little house is from a doodlebug set i got last year stamped in several colors of brilliance pearlescent ink. scallop and square are cut with george on my cricut. arrows are from the grungeboard minis set and covered in brilliance pearlescent ink. edges of the scallop are rubbed with ink using the foam ink blending tool that i adore. can you believe the white wording and the snowflakes?

that wording is done with ranger's inkssentials pen - i JUST got these in for the first time and i am in awe at how well they do on black paper. and they are so smooth and even! i also love the snowflakes - stamped them with brilliance platinum - love how well it shows up too!

next up are two cards i made this weekend - broke out my doodlebug and studio G stuff - can't wait for the new ones. this sketch appeared in a magazine and i love it!!

used my newset border punches on both cards. the black has halloween images stamped in versamark but you really can't see them well. t he ghost is painted with opal liquid pearls.

i double cuttelbugged this background and used a holly border punch - you will be seeing more of that one!!!

ok time for some housework!!!!!!!!!!!! another dimensional pearls tutorial tomorrow.

  5. Love the colored embossing. Can you give details how you got each swiss dot & swirl colored (or do you just have a lot of patience?!)
