showing some love to my pinkies....

**edited to add**
COMPLETELY forgot to add an important tidbit to this post - the bag is done for the FIRST pink cat challenge over on the Planet - paper craft planet that is. have you been?? go check it out - a superb new place for hanging out!!

for today's gift set i pulled out some pink cat studio stamps - they have been a bit neglected for awhile now which is so sad because they are simply adorable - some of my faves as i have said before. in fact a few new ones will be here soon :) so i settled on this cute little shopper and a little birdie friend. i usually color the birds all yellow so i decided in honor of christmas i would try something new and made these cute little red birds! the little circle patterned paper is also a pink cat stamp from a background set. i stamped with versamark, used distress embossing powder in peeled paint and shabby shutters and then rubbed with distress inks in tattered rose, worn lipstick and shabby shutters with the foam blending tool - an absolute must have!! accented with ruby slippers glitz stickles. all of these items are available on the website.
images are colored with copics:

next up some little gift card holders again - this time with my very first BUT UN-INKED Bella stamp! i got her as a xmas gift so it was too late to use her last year. she was super easy to color and oh so cute! both are accented with glitter pans and the boots are covered with my clear sakura glaze pen so they are shiny.
las gift card holder is a simpler cuttlebug embossed image using a piece of glossy cardstock covered in alcohol inks:

anyone else get their sign up done for CHA classes???? i never did get it to work and then after about 40 minutes it went completely off line - BUMMER i so want to get in to T!m's class!!!!

sarah kay challenge

i stumbled across these adorable sarah kay stamps and was instantly hooked. well my friend Christine had a link up to a sarah kay blog and they issue a challenge every sunday so of course i had to play!

i must say i am so in love with this card. the colors are not colors i might have normally put together but i started the picking process with the patterned paper (DCWV nana's nursery stack) and went from there. the sketch itself was so good i just knew the card would be too! the image is colored with copics. corners are a fiskars corner punch, border is also fiskars. i finished off with a couple primas, a flower button and some dots of dimensional pearls here and there.

HOWEVER, i SO don't need any more cards! SO i used it on this LO:

i repeated the border somewhat across the top and bottom and added more primas. i have some moss rose across the front of our blueberry patch that is growing really well so i said Pez, go sit by the moss rose and i'll take your picture. well she sat IN the moss rose (holding a dead plant she uprooted while in the garden with Tiger).

i was really pleased with my prima layering. i used to hoard primas but i am getting more free with them.

I also got another LO done with pics of the same afternoon - Tiger found some mint in my garden and it was like catnip! she was rolling around and totally filthy! well pezzy just had to go see what she was up to:

Close up of the stamping - i used a bella and some MFT's. loving the primas on this one as well.

these LOs were both done using Page Maps - a FABulous resource if you haven't already been there.

these LOs got me thinking about some things so when i collect the thoughts completely i will share them with you along with that blog candy i mentioned yesterday.....STAY TUNED!!

lotsa lotsa SFYTT and one for OCCC

jen was talking about how cute ellie is lately on her blog so i am continuing with the lotsa lotsa theme since i got carried away with her sketch this weekend! and i was SO excited to see my friend suzanne dean as the guest designer this month - suzanne is extremely talented and will be coming over this weekend to hang out and color with a few of us - she has been gracious enough to agree to come teach a copics class for us!!! be sure and go check out her blog too because she has some FABOO blog candy up for grabs this week!!!! this first one also incorporates the theme for OCCC which was to create a humorous card or at least a card that makes me smile. well this card has such wild colors i can't help but smile:

this poor little chichiboulie from stamping bella has sat unloved for far too long on my really need to use this stamp pile (and more just keep coming because i think i am crazy!!) the Drop Scallops background stamp is one of my very own inked up with the Bouquet kaleidacolor pad. i colored twimkle fairy chichi with copics and then painted her skirt with opal liquid pearls and her wings with frosted lace stickles - the shimmer of the skirt would NOT come thru on the pics but i really like it in real life. the sentiment is studio g of course!

the next two are faux watercoloring again - both using inkadinkado stamps:

they also both have some of that delicious SEI velvet paper i love so much!

i am considering some changes to my blog and have been collecting up some blog candy i need to give away so watch for more on that soon!!!

happy stampin everyone!

New goodies - YAY!

well my trip to AC Moore to look for studio g series 9 stamps was a bust - my ACM sucks. But I did go to Recollections and pick up some Tim Holtz items 30% off, though they didn't have much left. Didn't find much more at Michaels or ACM - this is why I shop online... :P Anyway, played with them this morning. Obviously it's one thing to know how to use them and quite another to have the kind of talent Tim does as far as making somethng that looks good. However, I did make a fab Bubble Bath Bella with his embossing tinsel - which I love love love. melts so nicely. I covered her in embossing ink, then re-inked carefully with a black marker over everything but her bubbles and the puddle on the floor. Stamped her and then covered the bubbles and puddle with Bridal Embossing tinsel and melted. colored the rest of her in with gamsol and prisma pencils. now to make a card for her. i'll post her for ya'll tomorrow!

Also got some goodies in the mail - my first ever bottles of Prima flowers - wow do i love those. FINALLY got one of DH's xmas gifts too - what's with the mail lately?? it's a pancake puff pan - yes that's right - you've seen the infomercial - he's all excited :) still haven't got another of the gifts i got from amazon for him and the boys.

well i'm off to clean house - yuck but god does it need it!!
