*********SALE*************
don't forget the sale pages i have temporarily posted - http://www.pezadoodle.com/HiddenSale.html
these pages will only be up until Wednesday!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The challenge over on Our Creative Corner was to use snowmen or snowflakes well i LOVE snowmen and these new "Whiffies" from the last release are just DEE-vine! Katherina issued a guest DT call - there is a new one every 2 months - along with this sketch->
so my card is working a double today!
so i gave it a whirl with this little cutie:
close up:
the image is colored with copics and accented with LOTS of spica pen BUT i could not get the glitter to show well today...maybe tomorrow i will try again! the *snow drifts* are two cuttlebug embossed layers (not my idea *waves to heather* you can see the original here) - one of them i inked the folder so the color is on the background and the other one i inked the raised portion.
both the light blue base and the dark blue layer are covered in snowflakes stamped with frost versadazzle. leaves a nice watermark with a bit of shimmer. finished off with ribbon, buttons and stickles!
so what do y'all think?????
drive by posting.........Pezzy's first masterpiece!
hi all! a quick post for you today - seems i just have too much to do right now but i wanted to get this card up for you to see:
i really love this one for a couple reasons. first of all how CUTE is charlotte with her kitty?? this is another image from whiff of joy - dubbed whiffies by a couple friends *waves to suzanne and susanna* - colored with copics and then i used doodlebug flock on her muff and hat - sticks really well with glossy accents. the second reason i love this one is the background - created by my little 2 year old Pezzy!! yep she loves to paint and "do stampies" so i set her up and let her go to town. for this one i gave her my foam ink blending tool first with brilliance crimson reinker and then brilliance cottage ivy reinker. next i gave her some inkadinkado stamps and the same color ink pads and let her stamp. she does not produce very good images for the most part but i think that just makes this background better!
now off to work for me! have a great day!
HAVE YOU HEARD?????? WOJ....
there's some new goodies being released today over at Whiff of Joy!! i only recently discovered them myself and have been avidly watching all the sneak peeks on the design team's blogs. I am thinking several will be finding their way to my home.......someone recently asked me about boy images - there are some in this new release so HURRY ON OVER!!
these WOJ images come as unmounted rubber so i thought i would dedicate today's post to my newest "product I adore" - Tack N Peel!!
most stamps seem to come unmounted these days - i usually mount mine on ez mount. tried covering the back with aleen's tack it over and over but i was tacking things to the stamp that just did NOT go there and getitng the stamp stuck on things - i am obviously to messy for that route!
however i HATE the sticky time consuming mess that is ez mount. and i am ashamed to show you this but i have had THIS ->
pile of brand new rubbah (god i hope hubby isn't looking...) sitting on my table for weeks and so I pull out some Tack N Peel i ordered from Tsukineko back when i first started carrying their products. WELL this stuff is FABulous! can you imagine how long it would take to ez mount all THAT RUBBAH!!!!!
Instead here is what I have now - the yellow rectangle on the right shows what the tack n peel looks like out of the package (but bigger - it is 4" x 7"). i simply laid my acrylic block on top, drew a line to cut it to size, cut it and peeled off the yellow paper. this reveals a sticky side and i laid that down on my block - lemme tell ya - this stuff sticks! what i have now (you can see in this pic) is my block, tack n peel and a protective clear sheet.
when i want to use an acrylic stamp i simply stick it onto the protective clear sheet just like the plain block - works just the same. BUUUUUT
when i want to use some good ole rubbah i just peel the protective sheet off and stick the stamp right on. stamp and remove. Replace protective cover. so now i only have ONE sticky surface to worry about AND i can use my stamps as soon as i get them. i LOVE it!!!!! if the TnP starts to lose it's stickiness just wash it off and let it air dry!! now i ask you does it get any better!! i am ALL ABOUT instant gratification! i am stocking this on the website so if you need some for all those faboo WOJ stamps you get run over and plop some in your cart!!
happy shopping!
TSSC baby goodies
hi all! sorry for the sparse posts lately but i have been getting the studio Gs outta here! i am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! i took a breif break earlier this week between shipments to make this baby shower gift. the card uses MJ's Tehnostamper sketch. the timing was perfect as i had just gotten my oval nesties {happy dance}. here is the sketch:
Here is the card:
the images are studio Gs from past sets. i recently arranged them all in baseball card sleeve pages in binders and i LOVE it - so easy to flip thru and pick some out now!! i colored them with copics, inked all my edges and added some stickles. patterned paper is nana's nursery from DCWV. the dots are liquid pearls and the doodling is my silver spica. i made this for a lady in pez's playgroup - we had a baby shower for her wednesday. since it is her second and another boy she doesn't really need a lot of stuff so i made up a little gift of an easy meal. i put all the ingredients in this jar:
i included the cans of tomatoes so all she needs is ground beef and water - easy chili mac! i will be doing similar items for christmas this year.
i have sorted the last shipment of series 20 - i will spend the afternoon printing the labels and attaching them to the packages to hopefully get them all out tomorrow! i know everyone is anxious to get them and i am anxious to get back to playing so i can play with the new stuff too!! this evening i will get a bit of playtime because my friend cori is having a stamping/scrapping get together at her house tonight. i will be working on my card for the very first whiff of joy blog challenge which i am determined to complete as i want to be able to say i was there from the beginning!! you should all run over there too and check it out as well as take a peek at the teasers on katharina's blog for the upcoming whiff of joy release.
