hey all you studio G folks!!!!! an invitation for you....

to get those sweet little stamps out and PUT THEM TO USE!!!

that's right - i have read far too many posts in the last several months about people not using these little guys *GASP* - while they ARE super fun to collect they REALLY want to see ink!! and seriously you can ALWAYS find just what you need if you look to the studio Gs.

so to give you all some encouragement and inspiration I have begun hosting challenges over on the Paper Craft Planet Studio G collectors group in conjunction with Hampton Arts - the makers of Studio Gs - they are offering up a prize for the first challenge of each month!! Hampton Arts has ALOT more than just Studio G so I am excited to hear what goodies everyone gets each month!

the current challenge is invitations - my mom has asked me to make the invitations for our annual easter egg hunt/crawfish boil family reunion. SO i thought hey i have never inked up one of the invite SG sets.....the next challenge was born!

Here is invitation prototype number one:

i used my doodlecharms cricut cartridge on the card feature to cut the card and the frame. i accented the bunny and basket cutout with stickles, liquid pearls and glaze pens.

here's the inside:

well i wasn't too happy with this one and mom said she wanted a crawfish hatching out of an easter egg instead of a chick...........okaaayyyyy (no...there is NO such stamp.....)

then i was browsing through Angela's shop - The Happy Stamper when I went by to talk about the Pezadoodle launch event next Tuesday - oh boy does she have LOTS to browse through - you'll see more on that later. but i stumbled across a fiskars easter eagg punch - JUST the right size for the crawfish stamp i have from a couple years ago.

SOOOOOOOOOOOO...RE-DO!

here are a couple of the NEW invitations:

and the inside:
the crawfish, invited sentiment and inside wording were all stamped with rubarb stalk memento ink, spring is here was stamped with lime brilliance ink and the little easter egg cluster with a SUPER cool kaleidacolor pad in Bouquet. you can find all of these at Pez-A-Doodle and they are all on sale! i added a bit of flower soft along the bottom for grass. i may adjust the position of my crawfish a bit.....now off to see what mom thinks! how about y'all??? what do you think?

the challenge deadline is March 14th so you still have time to enter!!!

**EDITED TO ADD** you have GOT to go check out Catherine's Pez-A-Doodle post today - PHEnom!!!

Studio G ATC size Valentine challenge....

Oh goodness i had WAY too much fun with these! i did all 8 in about 2 hours - pretty quick i think!
This first one is also from the etsy inspired challenge over on Hearthugsdesigns:
the etsy shop this week is Scrap-n-scribe - THE most adorable hairbows! anyway there are two different kinds of bows that i thought would look great on cards and here is one of them.

and now the whole set of 8 ATC valenties i made:

SO again - ATC size is 3.5" x 2.5" - so i gathered up my bittersweet pezzy picks kit goodies first and cut 8 pieces of solid Bazzill 5" x 3.5" and folded them in half. from there i picked out a tag sketch from the page maps page, some bittersweet patterned paper and selected a studio G stamp or two and went to town. i only had three inks out - all brilliance dew drops - chocolate, orchid and red poppy. i also had cinnamon stickles, ruby liquid pearls and pink liquid pearls along with my bittersweet clay embellies i made and the ribbon from the Pezzy's picks kit. this made it easy because everything i grabbed matched :) i did throw in a crocheted heart on one of them too.
i just love using the clay embellishments and have had ALOT of folks asking if i will be selling them - i do have some plans too that are in the works but no release date for you yet. there will be a birthday line, some little critters (of course) and easter. the easter ones will be made to match some of the new paper collections released at CHA. now where DID i put that coffee........i am going to need it!! hahahah!

i really want to see what other folks come up with so be sure to come back and leave me a link! also don't forget we have a polkadot pie contest running at the same time!
hugs!

Studio G - USE THEM challenge - (PRIZE INVOLVED!)

-WOW just realized i forgot to show y'all the new studio G fun coming soon!!! first up - BRAND NEW - CHALKS!!!!!!!!!
yes each little 4 pack is a BUCK - $1 - that means i have 24 chalks for you for $6. i cannot WAIT!!!

NEXT more inks and glitter glues - this time a matching set - how FUN is that?????
and then series 32 (are we REALLY on series 32???)

i think this set has some cute stuff in it!
all of these are up for pre-order in the store now and there are still a few series 26 left too.
NOW i hear disturbing things about peeps not USING these little guys they have been so avidly collecting! SAY IT ISN'T SO!!! well i would like to change that!! i have a challenge going over on Paper Craft Planet right now OR you can enter here - what do you have to do?? ATC sized valentine's (even better if you make them with your kids) - think classroom valentines. and to inspire you - Page maps has some tag sketches that would work great for this.
between series 26 and series 29 there are ALOT of valentine stamps to choose from. and guess what else - there is a PRIZE - 3 brilliance ink dew drops of your choice!! these are superb for studio G stamps too!
deadline is feb 14th.
leave me a comment with a link to your cards!!
and now i am off! gonna make some clay embellies....anyone want some???
