tutorial ala T!m Holtz's blog...

i was hanging out on my friend, Christine's blog yesterday (i was a little behind on my blog browsing.) Anyway she had a blinkie for the sarah kay blog and of course i rushed right over to check it out as i JUST got several of her new ones. Today's card was done based on last week's challenge over there - it was to use purple and green:

i was too late to add it to the challenge but i played this week too. i'll post that one this week. for the patterned paper i used a technique from T!m Holtz's blog. it's a variation of emboss resist.

Gather your supplies: Patterned paper, background stamp (fairly solid but also with alot of open space,) versamark, clear embossing powder, foam ink blending tool, paint dabber, paper towel.

ink your stamp well with versamark, stamp over patterned paper, cover with clear embossing powder, shake off the excess and heat to melt.

Once cool cover the whole piece with paint. Use the foam blender to smoosh it around and get good coverage - let dry.

Once the paint is dry take a slightly damp paper towel and rub off the paint from the embossed areas. rub off as much or as little as you want.

i have lots of fun stuff to share with you this week AND fingers crossed for boxes of studio G goodies to show up (FINALLY) this week!
