Pink cat studio stamps that is! this first one is a two piece set and the card uses Julee's Mojo Monday sketch->

Close ups:

i colored the image with copics and used a spica silver pen on the present's ribbon. the fur on her hat and scarf is done with opal perfect pearls covered with martha stewart crystal glitter. i rarelybuy paper stacks but when i saw this pink, white and black glitter paper in the DCWV glitter stack i HAD to have it.

the image is embossed in silver and then colored with copics.

next up is a card using one of my brand spankin' new pink cats and using this week's SCS sketch:

i colored the image with copics and then used distress embossing powder for the "pine" branches and stickles for the berries. i edges first with peeled paint distress ink and then brushed corduroy after using the edge distresser.

the patterned paper is from a gorgeous set called Alpine Frost from SEI.

The challenge over on Our Creative Corner was to use snowmen or snowflakes well i LOVE snowmen and these new "Whiffies" from the last release are just DEE-vine! Katherina issued a guest DT call - there is a new one every 2 months - along with this sketch->
so my card is working a double today!

so i gave it a whirl with this little cutie:

close up:
the image is colored with copics and accented with LOTS of spica pen BUT i could not get the glitter to show well today...maybe tomorrow i will try again! the *snow drifts* are two cuttlebug embossed layers (not my idea *waves to heather* you can see the original here) - one of them i inked the folder so the color is on the background and the other one i inked the raised portion.

both the light blue base and the dark blue layer are covered in snowflakes stamped with frost versadazzle. leaves a nice watermark with a bit of shimmer. finished off with ribbon, buttons and stickles!

so what do y'all think?????

And in case you are wondering why I have added her now - YES it is in preparation for big things to come but that will take a bit longer to put together!! i will most likely be adding one more too in the near future........

Second, in honor of Christine agreeing to the DT position (oh yea and the thanksgiving shopping tradition) I am having a SALE on some very popular holiday goodies! JUST for you faithful blog readers - these prices are not available on the regular website but via a hidden URL:

showing some love to my pinkies....

**edited to add**
COMPLETELY forgot to add an important tidbit to this post - the bag is done for the FIRST pink cat challenge over on the Planet - paper craft planet that is. have you been?? go check it out - a superb new place for hanging out!!

for today's gift set i pulled out some pink cat studio stamps - they have been a bit neglected for awhile now which is so sad because they are simply adorable - some of my faves as i have said before. in fact a few new ones will be here soon :) so i settled on this cute little shopper and a little birdie friend. i usually color the birds all yellow so i decided in honor of christmas i would try something new and made these cute little red birds! the little circle patterned paper is also a pink cat stamp from a background set. i stamped with versamark, used distress embossing powder in peeled paint and shabby shutters and then rubbed with distress inks in tattered rose, worn lipstick and shabby shutters with the foam blending tool - an absolute must have!! accented with ruby slippers glitz stickles. all of these items are available on the website.
images are colored with copics:

next up some little gift card holders again - this time with my very first BUT UN-INKED Bella stamp! i got her as a xmas gift so it was too late to use her last year. she was super easy to color and oh so cute! both are accented with glitter pans and the boots are covered with my clear sakura glaze pen so they are shiny.
las gift card holder is a simpler cuttlebug embossed image using a piece of glossy cardstock covered in alcohol inks:

anyone else get their sign up done for CHA classes???? i never did get it to work and then after about 40 minutes it went completely off line - BUMMER i so want to get in to T!m's class!!!!

drive by posting.........Pezzy's first masterpiece!

hi all! a quick post for you today - seems i just have too much to do right now but i wanted to get this card up for you to see:

i really love this one for a couple reasons. first of all how CUTE is charlotte with her kitty?? this is another image from whiff of joy - dubbed whiffies by a couple friends *waves to suzanne and susanna* - colored with copics and then i used doodlebug flock on her muff and hat - sticks really well with glossy accents. the second reason i love this one is the background - created by my little 2 year old Pezzy!! yep she loves to paint and "do stampies" so i set her up and let her go to town. for this one i gave her my foam ink blending tool first with brilliance crimson reinker and then brilliance cottage ivy reinker. next i gave her some inkadinkado stamps and the same color ink pads and let her stamp. she does not produce very good images for the most part but i think that just makes this background better!

now off to work for me! have a great day!

TH tags #9 & 10 plus a tutorial on making "snow" t!m holtz style

WARNING - pic heavy post today!!

This first gift set has focal images based on t!m's tag # 9 tutorial and is done for Jen's Saturday Sketch For You To Try challenge:

sorry for the awful pics - the light has been really bad here lately! here are some close ups:

i cut the image piece with my new nesties. stamped with black archival ink and then smudged in pine needle and fired brick distress inks with the ink blending tool. tree is stamped with peeled paint distress ink and the sentiment with fired brick. the grungeboard pieces are painted with the silver paint dabber. instead of tiny brads i used a drop of mushroom dimensional pearls in each hole of the grungeboard and it dried in this weird cool way so it looks like old beat up brads! stamps are inkadinkado and sentiments are studio G. All items available at Pezadoodles!

next set up was done using MJ's sketch from last week (yea yea i know i am late EEK!) and t!m's tag 10 tutorial:

Check out that 3D SNOW!! directions below. I did not have any pattern paper i liked with these so i made my own - stamped and clear embossed some snowflakes on white cardstocke. mixed up two pearl mists using the same reinkers as the paint dabbers used on the tag - cloudy blue with pearl perfect pearls and pool with perfect pewter. i sprayed over the whole page. when dry i stamped more snowflakes in cloudy blue and pool and then wiped all the inks off the embossed snowflakes. perfectly matching shimmery paper! Again check out Pezadoodles for supplies! and now on to the snow...

gather your supplies: clear UTEE, white UTEE, holographic embossing powder and glossy accents. you will also need a small palstic container and mixing stick and something to measure with - i used a cap from a mini mister - i never put them back on anyway (organization is hopelessly beyond my reach).

your measuring tool doesn't need marks or anything - it is 3 parts clear UTEE and 1 part white UTEE - so here i used 3 capfuls of clear and 1 capful of white. add 2-3 pinches of holographic EP.

next squirt some glossy accents into the powders and mix it in really well. keep adding glossy accents until you get a mixture the consistency of cookie dough.

spread it on your project, embed charms or other items into it and let dry!

don't want 8 ounces (and $17) of UTEE just for a little snow on your cards? get a premixed jar of powder with or without the glossy accents here. Remember t!m's 12 tags kits are also available.

how cool is that! now go have fun!!

blog tart winner & more tags...(yep MORE tags)...

OK so i am a day late with my blog tart winner - SO SORRY!!! the answer to the question was the green button and the two "skittles" on either side of the #25. great guesses everyone!!!! i really wanted to demonstrate how handy alcohol inks can be for custom matchng when you need it!! and now for the winner....

Random Integer Generator
Here are your random numbers:1
Timestamp: 2008-11-16 14:49:36 UTC

and the winner is....retiredheather!!!! send me your addy so i can send you the new grungeboard book to play with!!

now onto more tags - these are not t!m tutorial specific - just playing around:

this one is a grungeboard tag cut with a sizzix die in my cuttlebug. i covered it in peeled paint distress ink, embossed it with the tree folder in the cuttlebug and then rubbed over it lightly with brilliance galaxy gold ink. i also embossed the holly piece from the seasonal grungeboard set and painted it gold with a ranger paint dabber. i used peeled paint and fired brick distress stickles to accent and the sentiment is studio G!

this coaster tag is painted with tattered rose crackle paint, stamped with an image from inkadinkado's holiday classics in black soot distress ink and then rubbed with pine needles and fired brick distress inks and the ranger foam blender. i distressed the edges and then went over them with vintage photo distress ink. the swirl is from debbie's die cuts and is painted with espresso and gold ranger paint dabbers. i hung a fragment charm backed with patterned paper to finish it off.

find all the goodies you need to make these and more here!

i hope you like them and CONGRATS to heather!!

another set of cuppies and a new stamp line out!!

first the new stamps - a little cutie named Mimi has made her debut over at Pink Gem Designs! check them out here!

and now one last installment of christmas cuppies - another gift set based on this weeks cupcake challenge sketch from Taylor:

andclose ups of each item:
the main panel is ranger glossy paper colored with alcohol inks in bottle and meadow with gold mixative. i stamped the greeting in staz on - just got a BUNCH of colors in to play with.

the cuppies are colored with copics and accented with spica glitter pens and "iced" with stickles - no sun again today so i couldn't really capture the sparkle....

had a WONDERFUL time with Christine and Suzanne today - thanks for hosting suzanne!!!!!
