Final day of giveaways AND technostamper lunchtime sketch card

YEP that's right - i played Mary Jo's lunchtime sketch challenge sans electricity AND all the things i normally use when doing a card that run on electricity - like my cricut which i was going to use to do a scallop circle - or my heat gun so i could clear emboss the background stamp.....anyway!! here is the wonderful sketch:

And my card - despite it not being exactly what i wanted i do like it. the background is one of my new ones (going up tomorrow - HOORAY!!!!!). the others are from a much under-loved set from MFT - Can You Dig It.

i stamped in ranger Mushroom dye ink and colored with prismas and gamsol and then got to use the flower soft sent to me from my awesome friend Cat!!! how cool looking is that stuff????? background is stamped with versamark and dots are mushroom dimensional pearls.

so being without electricity we spent ALOT of time outside and you won't believe what we discovered under our deck right above the hammock:

Four brand new baby birds!!!!!! how sweet is that??

and now for the final day of giveaways - up for grabs - 2 of the brand new Ranger pigment pads! i have just begun playing with these and i just LOVE the thick opaque creamy coverage they give! so leave a comment and tell me one of your favorite blogs!

temp hold.....????eek!

ok folks i have very brief internet access for this emergency bulletin - we have had some BAD storms and now have no power. doesn't look good for having power soon either! SO there may be a falling behind in my posts and giveaways just don't lose faith! hahahahahah!

i think what i am most bummed about is that i was SO going to go to the MFT release party over on scs tonight......waaahhhhh!!!

and the countdown continues....plus MOJO40 card to share!

***ok first thing i need to do is take care of an emergency - will the person from the phillipines who emailed me about scrapbook kits PLEASE email again as i ACCIDENTLY DELETED your email ACK!!!!!!!! ***

ok on to our regularly scheduled program....first up is my MOJO40 sketch card. For those that don't know this is put up every Monday by Julee who is the owner/designer over at Verve Visual. The first Monday of each month she picks a winner to receive a stamp set. so the sketch:

and the card:
i must admit i saw the sketch and was a little at a loss as to what i should do. but i love how this came together. the stamped image is another of my new ones - which BTW now have NAMES!!! came up with them as i was uploading to scs - i will share those tomorrow in full but for now this one is ladybugs a scuttle. all inks are ranger - i stamped with pebble and then colored in with red pepper, lettuce, and lake mist. Circles are cut on the cricut (amy - 1/8" border....yes you need a cricut hahahah) and the green swirly ummmmmmmm thing is also cut on the cricut. the cuttlebug corner is another technique from Paper Transformed *lovin this book!* - painted a black piece of paper with silver paint dabber, cuttlebugged it, rubbed it with snadpaper and then some oregano ink - awesome IRL!! the german scrap across the bottom was gold but i colored it with silver and black alcohol ink and then rubbed it with oregano also. dots are Lettuce dimensional pearls.

next up is another baby pezzy playin with blocks:

i sprayed the CTMH pattern paper with pearl mist - water and perfect pearls powder in perfect pearl - no color just pure shimmery goodness!!! image is colored with prismas and gamsol and some sweet little sugar pops from the bead pops line.

here's another cake-cake with pezzy:

the background is smooshed pearl paint and stickles!

and finally another lady bug:

colored in with ranger ink and added fired brick distress embossing powder - which i adore - background is my cobblestones in black stazon on a transparency and then alcohol inked.

so today i pick my first winner! and the winner is.......Mel ! drop me an email with your address and color choices!

and now for todays question - what is your FAVORITE technique/tool - either one that you use or one that you admire. right now i am LOVING all over the copic coloring. i have markers on their way but i'm sure i will need lots of practice!

hope you all get to have an inky day today!!!

SFYTT day and more peeks & blog candy!!

I am starting today off with a card i did using Jen's Sketch For You To Try - these are always wonderful and go up every Saturday. Jen will also be posting some things using my new stamps on Thursday - she is SO talented I know they will be FABULOUS!!! Lots of pics today so onto the fun stuff! Here is the sketch:

And my card:
I used Cake-cake with Pezzy. Colored in using prismas and gamsol (waiting on my new set of copics *waving to Amy & Jen* you enablers!!). I wanted some texture to the cake icing so i delved into my new Paper Transformed book by Julia Andrus - my oh my is it delish! The icing is made by adding a drop of water to a pile of perfect pearls adn mixing well. Then add glossy accents until you have a thick paste. I *iced* with a dry brush. The background is stamped with another one of my newbies - tiny flowers, dots and leaves. I stamped with versamark and then embossed with bridal tinsel.

Next up is a LO of pics from Easter using three of the Scrollybug stamps. I did these a little different than my norm - i stamped IN COLOR and then colored them in with Ranger ink and an aquapainter. The bricks on the ladybugs are colored with a versamark pen and then embossed with ranger's fired brick distress embossing powder.
the title is done with grungeboard and Ranger pigment ink.

Next up is a poor sick pezzy. background is done with alcohol inks and of course some bead pops from sugar & scraps on my website!
this uses one of the butterflies again. i stamped in versamrk and embossed in detail silver.
The background is painted with pearl paint dabber, alcohol inked and then i added texture to the corners with the silver paint dabber and alcohol inked those too. I am also SO pleased to get our first entry in the acrylic block contest! here is the link:

and now for our daily giveaway - because i love how nice the Tim Holtz Distress Embossing powders work with these stamps i am giving away two jars in your choice of colors! simply leave a comment here and tell me which Ranger product SCARES you!! i know when i started they ALL scared me!!!!! heck i was scared of distress ink! Now i ADORE them all!!!! and i hope to see more entries for the blocks - do you want me to post some of my samples....???? let me know!!

stampy hugs to all!!

five days of giveaways....

More peeks for ya!!! and goodies galore all week long so be sure to keep up and enter each day. you will have 48 hours to enter each contest before i pick a winner so check the date/time stamp!!

first up in the new scrollybugs line is this adorable little corner stamp. an old fence covered in morning glory with a few bees buzzing around....

i embossed the image with black detail powder and then colored with prismas and gamsol.

next is another background - i LOVE harlequins AND i LOVE flowers so here is a perfect combination! i inked it using a big & juicy rainbow pad and then flowered it up with my new odyssey primas i JUST got!

next up i paired a background from yesterday with - of course - a pink cat!!! by stamping on black and embossing with gold i got a totally different look! sands of time bead pops go perfectly here. i also used ranger's new black pigment ink - OH MY the coverage is incredible and it is SO creamy and solid - i am in LOVE!
so this past saturday i had a little party to celebrate the new stamps. i had two friends from the cricut board, my nieghbor and Stampin Up demo, and amy from over at Pickled Paper who happens to live near me (lucky me). here are a couple samples from the party - we didn't get a lot completed but we sure did have a GREAT time and i LOVED getting to finally hang out with Amy! you will be seeing some stuff from her using these new stamps on Thursday.

now what about the giveaway you ask....up for grabs today - TWO bottles of alcohol ink and a felt applicator tool. what do you have to do to win. well, just this weekend i passed the 15,000 hits mark and to me that is just mind boggling! so i was wondering - how did you all find me????? just leave a comment here and tell me how you found my site - a winner will be picked at random.

be sure and run over to Mary Jo's blog to see her samples - she is just INCREDIBLE!!!

and don't forget about the acrylic block contest!!! happy stampin!

Pezadoodle Design Studios is pleased to introduce...........

OUR OWN EXCLUSIVE stamp line!!!!!

i have been working on this for sometime and am just so thrilled it is coming together. So for the next week I will be giving you peeks at the stamps along with great blog candy every day starting tomorrow! AND don't forget the studio G acrylic block contest which has a SUPER prize! The winner will be announced next Saturday, june 7 when the stamps become available for purchase on the website.

so onto our first peek - also check out Amy, Jen and Mary Jo who will be showcasing the stamps on some GORGEOUS cards as well this week on various days.

Today I am showing you one from each of the three lines-Scrollybugs, Backgrounds, and Pezadoodles

First up is a card using the cobblestone background and the corner butterflies:

Both are stamped with versamark and then covered with distress embossing powder. then i used an ink blending tool and foam to lightly color in the white paper with matching distress inks. Primas and of course - sands of time bead pops.

next is the same butterfly corner stamp:

This time i stamped in versamark on black paper and used rangers detail gold embossing powder. the background is dimensional pearls - i squeezed random lines of 3 colors on a piece of cardstock, placed another piece on top and smooshed them together. i brayered over them a bit to move the paint around and then peeled them apart at from a corner.

this last one is from the pezadoodles:

a little dancing pezzy - colored in using prismas and gamsol. the background is also dimensional pearls *pounced* on with a piece of scrunched up saran wrap. The letters are grungeboard inked well and covered in layers of UTEE. This is the back cover of the chipboard album i did for my mom.

Speaking of which - my mom is the actual artist behind most of these stamps. She is really good!
