<br />
<br />
New challenge over at <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Bitten By the Bug 2</a> - Tags or gifft bags - OH I do love to make tags! And with a Cricut it is so super simple. There are literally THOUSANDS to choose from! I decided to make some Christmas ones:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjw3yBNYJWZCLrAF8Wcl6kt-MTAZHag6UPSB9BjfBl2vDi_pMa9c6N7IGFvgI8sl0PI9c-_0xcE1Pfit9iA3QS6N8He55pVyzFFrSJS985P1kIZ8yleObtRbAGQSoFOJJEEkpt6WpEmLTQ/s1600/pic+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjw3yBNYJWZCLrAF8Wcl6kt-MTAZHag6UPSB9BjfBl2vDi_pMa9c6N7IGFvgI8sl0PI9c-_0xcE1Pfit9iA3QS6N8He55pVyzFFrSJS985P1kIZ8yleObtRbAGQSoFOJJEEkpt6WpEmLTQ/s400/pic+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
It's super simple to just choose a tag and then choose an image to put on the front.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWfXkZtcCQnkTcKicoVm1987-8Wvpkh_8uzeYNwaawBCGOBxqS8e0Qy0aTpPu6EJXSRHnk2ZNgZoC8ZsQkeouEu0el2eGLJfdDpkXEiYGGzxPPYKa1TnhpgSQJqya23zQw8AAhfzNRsbk/s1600/pic+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWfXkZtcCQnkTcKicoVm1987-8Wvpkh_8uzeYNwaawBCGOBxqS8e0Qy0aTpPu6EJXSRHnk2ZNgZoC8ZsQkeouEu0el2eGLJfdDpkXEiYGGzxPPYKa1TnhpgSQJqya23zQw8AAhfzNRsbk/s400/pic+3.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Of course I am feeling quite accomplished at the moment, having gotten a jump on Christmas and have a whole slew of them in the middle of working on in Design Space but I guarantee you I will promptly forget all about them or think oh I have LOADS of time and next thing I know Christmas will be 3 days away and I will be panicking :P<br />
<br />
The other <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">BBTB2</a> design team members created some great projects too so head over there and take a look! Then make one yourself and upload it to our challenge!<br />

<br />
<br />
Thanks to the great kits from Scrapbook Generation I got another layout done!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPQqJ9qBbQk_IyjoocTsGftwSyv4TDPYNR4r7spDz4xfFviqfSiTfr6uOuRPN3t1RGYtp4Ge8HOe5GUghGg-pI3uFsHIuqU8ql1GvcWM6YaPvW2q_XObyzzOgi13v0hoPnjm-tNUaQggg/s1600/pic+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPQqJ9qBbQk_IyjoocTsGftwSyv4TDPYNR4r7spDz4xfFviqfSiTfr6uOuRPN3t1RGYtp4Ge8HOe5GUghGg-pI3uFsHIuqU8ql1GvcWM6YaPvW2q_XObyzzOgi13v0hoPnjm-tNUaQggg/s640/pic+1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
These are pictures from my oldest Grandson, Brennan's 2nd birthday. 9 pictures total without it looking cluttered - love that!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiISQd9TevwpJXOidNiyKkmMGaG63WPZinfWj_zZwzjCPyiCpv4pKT0-EGBlEsMVAN8GVZxI03FxZFhP3JQH4F8_EQ6aLaREgj26xucpc3kpXnlmcZhVEry5-Bel5S0KfPIxbdXa8FiHss/s1600/pic+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiISQd9TevwpJXOidNiyKkmMGaG63WPZinfWj_zZwzjCPyiCpv4pKT0-EGBlEsMVAN8GVZxI03FxZFhP3JQH4F8_EQ6aLaREgj26xucpc3kpXnlmcZhVEry5-Bel5S0KfPIxbdXa8FiHss/s640/pic+2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The Scrapbook Generation kit/sketch had the embellishments fussy cut out of the patterned papers - um no. I STARTED with a Cricut so I am gigantically anti - fussy cutting!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9O-iKvy_7yrkHjKbC5p2MYyDitb2mq0VCbsRAJFOYXPerza4NNjzXK83gjy7m-kWqrmT1usdiYKNCuWzrI89aaP1ef9M0ouEUyy2qzjpnx3J76emqnQtWlUu8aaFwOj8YM-CAHygekKI/s1600/pic+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9O-iKvy_7yrkHjKbC5p2MYyDitb2mq0VCbsRAJFOYXPerza4NNjzXK83gjy7m-kWqrmT1usdiYKNCuWzrI89aaP1ef9M0ouEUyy2qzjpnx3J76emqnQtWlUu8aaFwOj8YM-CAHygekKI/s640/pic+3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
It was super easy to just replace those with images from Cricut.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmu-UzzzafU5HFAor504-Sr-WbUzw95wTySqTxeEBnBtZLPicmQzIwjsyQU7pCEJ4VA98UGPaJmTpMzniGp6H3B6kVJZio1I7Jmtn_zKQEVnJvr_K2Ix5Y3fPCZI0CJgZ9PEdYQ5mdDxo/s1600/pic+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmu-UzzzafU5HFAor504-Sr-WbUzw95wTySqTxeEBnBtZLPicmQzIwjsyQU7pCEJ4VA98UGPaJmTpMzniGp6H3B6kVJZio1I7Jmtn_zKQEVnJvr_K2Ix5Y3fPCZI0CJgZ9PEdYQ5mdDxo/s640/pic+4.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Of course Lita (what they call me) made him some cookies for his party!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
I have been horrible about keeping up with my blog because I am horrible about getting paper projects done (I have entirely too many hobbies...) but I got TWO layouts done this week! This is the second one of pics from our cruise several years ago:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijcxaUH63ZwtA3RmRDe6bjV8AMbXMbSiUdXEm8WPWYAH-5XyHqaugRYxYIO0g_1DBWBZIor1yPzyBkG7YccgttJT99y_68VcsgQk42cLgiED9Pn79EbKbbO_PVG3p1RXe4Q5DFF6TpcFk/s1600/pic+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijcxaUH63ZwtA3RmRDe6bjV8AMbXMbSiUdXEm8WPWYAH-5XyHqaugRYxYIO0g_1DBWBZIor1yPzyBkG7YccgttJT99y_68VcsgQk42cLgiED9Pn79EbKbbO_PVG3p1RXe4Q5DFF6TpcFk/s640/pic+4.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
So how did I get two done - A couple months ago I came across a site called <a href="http://www.scrapbookgeneration.com/" target="_blank">Scrapbook Generation </a>and decided to check it out. So glad I did! They sell lots of scrapping supplies but they also have various monthly kit clubs you can subscribe to. Plus you can order past kits you missed so I signed up and grabbed some older ones too. The kits come with several layouts sketches and instructions to make them. The kit comes with the papers and embellishments needed to make the layouts. Talk about fast and easy!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj69GraqbLGhtd1ZkMbhvxiYmyqpwF3nm2uU8pf260kZW22cTIQDlEk_xWB3yNBv3iPeFXGQvUYy2-0nZ5burK5AheS3xeKDFIZ2TS6Q3pYJDNhWduiFRxB4Lbjq_eVxpREssVk6_WMA-I/s1600/pic+7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj69GraqbLGhtd1ZkMbhvxiYmyqpwF3nm2uU8pf260kZW22cTIQDlEk_xWB3yNBv3iPeFXGQvUYy2-0nZ5burK5AheS3xeKDFIZ2TS6Q3pYJDNhWduiFRxB4Lbjq_eVxpREssVk6_WMA-I/s640/pic+7.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The embellishments (for this kit anyway) were in the form of a sticker sheet - I have never been real big on stickers - possibly because I started my paper crafting with a Cricut so stickers seemed somehow "less than".<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbbklQCrzHm8HeRxnKzO6Pnb5IIR_Kf5fs1360OqabWRkzYQlc8Xu07jGgtbxmzNNGH3fhQIlpVTg60KStzyZH4-ONXyMuwMk8lDIYcm7w6t8xGARSTvx9YPlFMDIpN7ALW9WZ9P1eMCI/s1600/pic+8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbbklQCrzHm8HeRxnKzO6Pnb5IIR_Kf5fs1360OqabWRkzYQlc8Xu07jGgtbxmzNNGH3fhQIlpVTg60KStzyZH4-ONXyMuwMk8lDIYcm7w6t8xGARSTvx9YPlFMDIpN7ALW9WZ9P1eMCI/s640/pic+8.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The clusters on this page are all stickers and I kinda like them!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiK3BIGoLTd5V9rsZp8sCGcocN4PkB0gkuyiuLIbELgvQ4EzBFs6t_VhjXqyPXziYv0aEM4bCuyYGTyZMKvR_1FsHBGxIm9wYJAljZhB5V-FtPnivk9ObD9pnRQuOc2de0FXdeyFV2x8_8/s1600/pic+6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiK3BIGoLTd5V9rsZp8sCGcocN4PkB0gkuyiuLIbELgvQ4EzBFs6t_VhjXqyPXziYv0aEM4bCuyYGTyZMKvR_1FsHBGxIm9wYJAljZhB5V-FtPnivk9ObD9pnRQuOc2de0FXdeyFV2x8_8/s640/pic+6.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
However I can't completely abandon my Cricut of course! So I added to the layouts. In this one - I added the umbrella cut - the original sketch had a llama sticker here - he was cute but......<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivXWgSICMdAtIxdjSdzsgDqe6ScdOsY6uk7kW-2qo0fYWmKX6oYtelLisH76UAUtea7HjPbMHpKW-7Im9vUs6Z8PnfX_Q40IGGUGSZF3oO_Pggasp5Qt217Kywca5ToDaCFSc-5BKxMqY/s1600/pic+5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivXWgSICMdAtIxdjSdzsgDqe6ScdOsY6uk7kW-2qo0fYWmKX6oYtelLisH76UAUtea7HjPbMHpKW-7Im9vUs6Z8PnfX_Q40IGGUGSZF3oO_Pggasp5Qt217Kywca5ToDaCFSc-5BKxMqY/s640/pic+5.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And then on this part I used this great sun cricut cut in place of one of the pictures, the arrow and circular saying are both stickers.<br />
<br />
So what do I think of <a href="http://www.scrapbookgeneration.com/" target="_blank">Scrapbook Generation</a>? So far I LOVE it! As if perfectly timed I saw a huge debate play out in one of the scrapping FB groups I am in about kits vs. non-kits. A number of people said kits destroy the creativity of it. I beg to differ. I have also avoided any sort of sticker or chipboard embellishments for YEARS because I have my Cricut - also silly of me I think. Now maybe if I had more time it would be different but honestly - I love to buy my supplies as collections so I have a group of matching papers to pull from when scrapping. In the past I have often spent entirely too much time trying to figure out which pages I wanted from different collections - sometimes collections would sell out before I got around to ordering! Then I spend a second huge chunk of time going through my massive collection of sketches trying to figure out which one to use and then figuring out the sizing blah blah blah. 47 hours of planning and a few hours of actual doing and I might get a layout done. Plus the fact that I can get 2-3 sketches done with the one set of papers means the planning on how to most efficiently use the papers is done for me. This was easier and I would argue there is still room for creativity. In several spots I switched the papers around and used something different that I liked better and as you saw on my last post and this one there was still room to add my own cricut touches as well. OR if you really think it destroys creativity don't use the sketches but get the kits - papers from the same collection so you know you will have a coherent layout. That's just common sense. I couldn't believe people are against that!<br />
<br />
I have not gotten out all of the kits I ordered so I could be wrong but it doesn't seem like there are any matching solid papers sent with the kits so I added some in. Two posts ago also used some of the paper from this same kit but my own layout. I added some solids to bulk things up a bit and could probably still get a few cards out of it too if I still made cards. In addition the layouts all seem to be done on white background paper with no mats for the photos which I don't like so I just dig up a matching solid or two instead. Those are the only 2 downfalls which aren't a big deal. Needless to say I love the kits so far and look forward to using them more! So go check them out!<br />

<br />
<br />
I hope you are all having a great summer! As usual mine is flying by way to fast. I had 2 of my grandsons over yesterday and I swear I can never get over how cute they are but boy do they wear me out!<br />
<br />
I have another layout for you today for the current <a href="https://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Bitten By the Bug 2</a> challenge - Water Fun.<br />
<br />

These are pictures from the cruise we went on back in 2011. This layout is done using my first kit from Scrapbook Generation - more on that in my next post.</div>

In place of one of the pictures I used this little starfish cut out - it was a card but I took out the score marks and then cut it down so it fit and added the border punched pink piece. I also cut the flamingo and the bit of beach to add next to the sayings which came from a sticker sheet in the kit.<br />

On the other side I threw in this cute palm tree with another bit of beach.<br />

<br />
<br />
What a week I've had! Not only did I have my mom in town for a visit but I also had my oldest son, his wife and my almost 2 year old grandson! OMGOSH is he adorable! It was one very active extremely fun exhausting week!<br />
<br />
I am back with a layout for this week's <a href="https://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Bitten By the Bug 2 Challenge</a>. This week we were asked to use a cut of a summer treat - think ice cream, popsicles, strawberries....I chose to scrap some of the many pictures from our trip to see friends in Canada last summer.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhF-6lGpoiBoMYQMEbgjnoQjYGd4JYzH-R7TBl-dFqo-EIT-ILbGhGivwJTAMrO0h9wAARkbYi5Imrvj03j1wGGDaT50Wq3rajWdNUtv3XUZp0jWBd_7kmxqL-sXsKO4P0lmpgxG68Z9gw/s1600/pic+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhF-6lGpoiBoMYQMEbgjnoQjYGd4JYzH-R7TBl-dFqo-EIT-ILbGhGivwJTAMrO0h9wAARkbYi5Imrvj03j1wGGDaT50Wq3rajWdNUtv3XUZp0jWBd_7kmxqL-sXsKO4P0lmpgxG68Z9gw/s640/pic+1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I had some fun with this one - I tried something different and free-handed the wavy pieces at the top and bottom of the pages. With all the commotion I had this week I went for a fairly simple page on this one!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="text-align: center;">This ice cream cone is from Sugar & Spice - too cute! One of the things I love about using Design Space is the search feature - I had never even heard of that cartridge - there are too many to keep up with anymore!</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhb-ZXIh3xwsUNWPaPBhjrugTAKcuyldiYuzvOiFf3Dq4woeO5fG16fIHt_EnLDuZ9bJ5E6oalvT0ZrS2-8bKKzrsNgmd9IA2wiu3AcaQkbX_NXFBaiLa6CD89RKOLpHwfcf7YclVIJaM/s1600/pic+3.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhb-ZXIh3xwsUNWPaPBhjrugTAKcuyldiYuzvOiFf3Dq4woeO5fG16fIHt_EnLDuZ9bJ5E6oalvT0ZrS2-8bKKzrsNgmd9IA2wiu3AcaQkbX_NXFBaiLa6CD89RKOLpHwfcf7YclVIJaM/s320/pic+3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This one is from Birthday Bash - one of my long-time faves. The font is called Candice - it is only a 1 layer font which is annoying - I prefer fonts with shadow layers BUT I liked the look of it so I went with it. Now if only I could find time to scrap the rest of the pics from our trip - there's a TON!<br />
<br />
I had not been on Design Space 3 until this project so it was all new to me. I hate change! But there were a few things I really liked - I especially like that all of my saved projects now have a thumbnail - they used to just be a list of names. I only do basic papercrafting on my Cricut so I won't miss the canvas feature. Maybe when I have more time to play I can explore the new DS a bit more.<br />
<br />
Have a great week and be sure to check out the other great projects on the <a href="https://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">BBTB2</a> blog and then make one of your own and link it to our challenge!<br />

<br />
<br />
I hope y'all had a wonderful Father's Day yesterday!<br />
<br />
Our new challenge is up on <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Bitten By the Bug 2 </a>- Birds of a Feather - you must use a bird cut on your project. I had these silly pictures of Pezza attempting to fly when she young and thought they would be perfect for this challenge:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKg_yU4v6VwasvGcFOrqgVkuo-2b8hXRl1phVOjWHGoeHIFE5XT5d3TiZWAZPWKbrC0Sc7oigPm9y0QiaA1noby6cej-3OIvfTjaQW5vhdP23V4NTKPhaazQdxk93tOaXEeh-HLlLWMCI/s1600/pic+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKg_yU4v6VwasvGcFOrqgVkuo-2b8hXRl1phVOjWHGoeHIFE5XT5d3TiZWAZPWKbrC0Sc7oigPm9y0QiaA1noby6cej-3OIvfTjaQW5vhdP23V4NTKPhaazQdxk93tOaXEeh-HLlLWMCI/s640/pic+1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I love this new patterned paper I got recently from Scrapbook Generation and thought the bright colors went really well with Pezza's bright outfit in the pics. I have loved all of my Cricut machines but I have to say I love my Explore the most because I can use cartridges OR outside images - I designed my title using a regular font and put a shadow layer with it in Make the Cut then imported it into Design Space - love love love that I can do that.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzAQtlZvjhbv0tephqCB-GexuReKmuJVToXVO3To8izS4YV4Ly0U7Cr5QF0BdLFmpf6KE7hdMGJthiuefSR1JWO3hDcy2tBxoIQdTJBCeX-cpVeRub_DCMDao1C0qNZ9cj-RKN99fEMqA/s1600/pic+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzAQtlZvjhbv0tephqCB-GexuReKmuJVToXVO3To8izS4YV4Ly0U7Cr5QF0BdLFmpf6KE7hdMGJthiuefSR1JWO3hDcy2tBxoIQdTJBCeX-cpVeRub_DCMDao1C0qNZ9cj-RKN99fEMqA/s400/pic+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
My little bird is from the Cindy Loo cartridge - I just love the images on that one! My good old glittered skittles finish off my flower centers perfectly.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgu7c3DdtTX4b8SOostmrJR3nm8ps0Q7fM9uac6ESkludaPg3nUEy0F-tpfeqUM_qRWE9bZgoo-ldbQU5OJLTRLty12iDtXy9j55b9DInut5dLqTh0k_5EaE7Sq2FD91mn7ueRFOmVxzoA/s1600/pic+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgu7c3DdtTX4b8SOostmrJR3nm8ps0Q7fM9uac6ESkludaPg3nUEy0F-tpfeqUM_qRWE9bZgoo-ldbQU5OJLTRLty12iDtXy9j55b9DInut5dLqTh0k_5EaE7Sq2FD91mn7ueRFOmVxzoA/s400/pic+3.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
The sketch I used had this little tag embellishment up top and I found this perfect little bird tag from Picturesque. <br />

<br />
<br />
We spent a fun weekend at the camping and watching races - it was historic sports car racing (or something like that...) Anyway, hubby really wanted to come see it so we headed for the very most southern part of VA for a few days. Pezza LOVED it - I mean loved it. Luckily it wasn't too hot so she was able to enjoy the cars. She spent alot of time watching the racing but she also spent a lot of time walking around getting to know the drivers and sitting in all their cars! LOL.<br />
<br />
This week we have another great challenge for you on <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Bitten By the Bug 2 - Summer</a>! With 1 more week of school left for us we are definitely gearing up for summer fun at my house!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
In my overwhelming effort to catch up on my scrapping I pulled out some pictures of Pezza and hubby swimming with dolphins we went on a cruise several years ago. The left page uses a sketch I found on Pinterest which I can't<br />

This is a based loosely on a Paper Play card sketch I found on Pinterest and I had these perfect little shell stamps from a CTMH stamp set I got 100 years ago and never used. I really need to get my stamps out more often!<br />

This cut is actually a card but I just cut off the back half and then put a piece of aqua paper behind it.<br />

<br />
This was another Paper Play card sketch I found on Pinterest to incorporate - I find grid style scrapping so satisfying because I can break it down into separate fun little projects.<br />

<br />
<br />
I hope everyone has been enjoying the long weekend. Last week at work was quite crazy so I needed the break. I have spent most of this weekend with 2 of my grandbabies who stayed the night so mom and dad could attend a wedding.<br />
<br />
A new challenge kicks off today over on the <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Bitten By the Bug 2 blog</a> - friends. As soon as I saw it I knew just the pictures I wanted to scrap. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqw44vwn9eTGoClF2IMu6ZNhI-lSkqQfIF4lGp-eLuUAoUDSsugJyLeCSfH3ZpqVBVGlA6zGJIaqWjxuYH7jmCq9HrdIozwXecHE1Fj-OFVXasXPeBEVjDT2h8_Ch_vr-VQurLTxwowE0/s1600/pic+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqw44vwn9eTGoClF2IMu6ZNhI-lSkqQfIF4lGp-eLuUAoUDSsugJyLeCSfH3ZpqVBVGlA6zGJIaqWjxuYH7jmCq9HrdIozwXecHE1Fj-OFVXasXPeBEVjDT2h8_Ch_vr-VQurLTxwowE0/s640/pic+1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
These are random pics I took of Hollyn and some of her closest (and longest) friends that I had taken over the past year - no special event just everyday life but these kids! The group on the trampoline have all known each other since birth. The others have been friends since kindergarten. How special is that? And how lucky are we to have been able to stay in our one house in our small town for so long so she can develop these long-time connections? It just so happens that I love these parents tremendously and am so grateful for the "Village" they create.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd-ixUGO2kLAVNSf2Kwrp64BjyGLpPD-lyaK-hD0IX8jp_UM8CvLXLx8ak-yqAfGVA8W6bkD5Fdvc5gSe-eWlVC_SY1GN4F3pKfuA0iNi779vgQwFjy0pd1eUwSkiTMrdfTBrqKyzyOYI/s1600/pic+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1000" data-original-width="1600" height="250" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd-ixUGO2kLAVNSf2Kwrp64BjyGLpPD-lyaK-hD0IX8jp_UM8CvLXLx8ak-yqAfGVA8W6bkD5Fdvc5gSe-eWlVC_SY1GN4F3pKfuA0iNi779vgQwFjy0pd1eUwSkiTMrdfTBrqKyzyOYI/s400/pic+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I used quite a few cartridges creating the layout I envisioned in my mind. The title was a bit tricky. My only real complaint about Cricut and Design Space is the lack of a shadow feature like Make the Cut software has. But I managed to pull it off anyway for this one. The font is Cricut Alphabet - Regular, the hearts are from Birthday Cakes and the flowers are from Mother's Day Bouquet. The font and hearts all had a shadow layer so I moved everything close together so the top layer of the letters was touching, welded that, then moved the hearts in and selected all of the shadows for the letters and hearts and welded those - ta da!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUzekC-2QtB6gZzFfb_IxwJ59G02lRxRSPhooekKcVvZHhvOuVmOonlDS9-4bRMpo70xAF3y7lwMGcyKgIgHnvXcECG-1ZgjICLM9d8l56RkXl2NfVS9zcykvLekz7OAhF6XKXjEogqho/s1600/pic+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1000" data-original-width="1600" height="250" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUzekC-2QtB6gZzFfb_IxwJ59G02lRxRSPhooekKcVvZHhvOuVmOonlDS9-4bRMpo70xAF3y7lwMGcyKgIgHnvXcECG-1ZgjICLM9d8l56RkXl2NfVS9zcykvLekz7OAhF6XKXjEogqho/s400/pic+3.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I REALLY wanted to create this cluster - I love the look of these but have little experience pulling them off. I am QUITE pleased with the way this one turned out! I used quite a few cartridges searching for just the right items - <span style="text-align: center;">Mother's Day Bouquet, Birthday Cakes, Anna's Elegant Embellishments, Bits and Pieces, & Garden Soup. Once it was put together I sprinkled it with a bunch of self-adhesive pearls & rhinestones I have had laying around FOREVER (used them around the title piece too). I really had a lot of fun playing with the different flower bits on the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge - I had forgotten about them. A little quirk in Design Space - when I type flowers (with an S) in the search box they don't come up. When I type it without the S they do.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKKgGdaFFDxO-4dHnwXGNFOq4tBcIUNLp5vY8H-Td6ZQQCwe7Ppbw3ZuV__7Gf2DUlobBZxRYjHnXVfc9eF2ebTgHiHwCBQ6nf5qhFOYoLuTpVqSt5iOxf182pGZei7JS2gZOl1ozAoH4/s1600/pic+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1000" data-original-width="1600" height="250" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKKgGdaFFDxO-4dHnwXGNFOq4tBcIUNLp5vY8H-Td6ZQQCwe7Ppbw3ZuV__7Gf2DUlobBZxRYjHnXVfc9eF2ebTgHiHwCBQ6nf5qhFOYoLuTpVqSt5iOxf182pGZei7JS2gZOl1ozAoH4/s400/pic+4.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Repeated the hearts, flowers and embellishments along the bottom for fun.<br />

<br />
<br />
Birthdays birthdays birthdays! I am hosting the challenge this week over on the <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Bitten By the Bug 2</a> Challenge and I chose birthdays as the theme. I am always in need of birthday cards/tags/gift card holders plus bday party pictures that I need to scrap. I ALSO threw Pezza's birthday party this past weekend - yes 6 months late. We couldn't make it happen in November so we promised a "half-birthday" party. She wanted a spa theme so that's what we did. I will put some pics at the end of this post.<br />
<br />
For this challenge I chose to make a couple gift card holders to add to my stash. I usually try to make 2 at a time when I do this - 1 boy and 1 girl:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjm2sXqfH11QIWK07bl0uyK8xseQwaT-c14CaVPJqxWhdzXO5KjCNnXZrLUO02d-vSVe1ULBd8KZDrceuUI08Hhd0_Za_FGn-Smd_71kU0NcPJOpDvfBOGywj0J4OjWAwxyCiHRLIfr5LY/s1600/pic+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjm2sXqfH11QIWK07bl0uyK8xseQwaT-c14CaVPJqxWhdzXO5KjCNnXZrLUO02d-vSVe1ULBd8KZDrceuUI08Hhd0_Za_FGn-Smd_71kU0NcPJOpDvfBOGywj0J4OjWAwxyCiHRLIfr5LY/s640/pic+1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Making gift card holders is SO EASY with your Cricut! The cartridge Bags, Tags, Boxes and More has quite a selection of cuts that fold to form little pockets. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUYQgsAI-Uxzih3uZrTnDPaukXiYrSU2MfID2cgJcLwDg4lPm45IC6PHxKDyTrJsWoSzP37DtXdQDEZw55A0dtY7j1dgw7uNWTqdML1fWZBSXnnG2nCJouW4Z4SnkIr8E_kPA6rls7qZI/s1600/pic+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUYQgsAI-Uxzih3uZrTnDPaukXiYrSU2MfID2cgJcLwDg4lPm45IC6PHxKDyTrJsWoSzP37DtXdQDEZw55A0dtY7j1dgw7uNWTqdML1fWZBSXnnG2nCJouW4Z4SnkIr8E_kPA6rls7qZI/s400/pic+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
You can size them to fit a gift card and then decorate the fronts like a tag or card. A birthday Cricut cut, embossing, a few glittered skittles, and some pretty ribbons tied off with embroidery floss makes for a sweet little gift card holder. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiq_8NTFgXiZ3MiUaXRiOyoruV_BBJNzQSf6RcJgnB9c9tATH_wDwIQPKLh8h4hwrhLAv8_6iWMmE6C8eokuFBSjw-WB86p50sVGIoKUDN-6IHCvU_QoFCIAKqmTKCIABYMTbEcSbvu45Q/s1600/pic+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiq_8NTFgXiZ3MiUaXRiOyoruV_BBJNzQSf6RcJgnB9c9tATH_wDwIQPKLh8h4hwrhLAv8_6iWMmE6C8eokuFBSjw-WB86p50sVGIoKUDN-6IHCvU_QoFCIAKqmTKCIABYMTbEcSbvu45Q/s400/pic+4.jpg" width="290" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Turn it over and you can see the gift card peeking out of the pocket. This cut is called Card Holder Tag - #M33F69 if you want to look for it and I cut it at 3.5" wide. I put them together with Scor-Tape so I know they will hold up to handling and not come apart.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8U4a86Hhd18_FdzYDVgehIUuzhCZk0i36uR8MfnF0eXmS6mMy7-EXrxblaF6lPuScUmWmC90n0G2MZvMBZMCjhuS7MTPuH_T0ruPcX8dP9Rv-F9dACtheHH7nRql4ZaGMBMOs6p6IsZ8/s1600/pic+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="355" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8U4a86Hhd18_FdzYDVgehIUuzhCZk0i36uR8MfnF0eXmS6mMy7-EXrxblaF6lPuScUmWmC90n0G2MZvMBZMCjhuS7MTPuH_T0ruPcX8dP9Rv-F9dACtheHH7nRql4ZaGMBMOs6p6IsZ8/s400/pic+3.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
This is a cut I have used many many times for gift card holder. This is a cut from the Fabulous Finds cartridge called Uniqueness - #M37D21 and I cut it at 5.75" wide. The pull out piece is on the same cartridge and is called Note Card - #M3708A and is cut at 3.08" wide. The little green tab pulls out and you can attach a gift card to it and slide it back in.<br />
<br />
Sizing whatever pocket cut you choose is easy in Design Space - gift cards measure 3.5" x 2.25" so determine what portion of the design has to be slightly larger than the gift card and drag until your cut is large enough.<br />
<br />
I hope y'all join our challenge over at BBTB2 - head on over there and check out the other DT designs for some inspiration and then link up your project!<br />

<br />
<br />
As I mentioned in a previous post - we have 6 brand new baby kittens! We foster kittens so we have kittens running through here from early spring until late fall - this is just the first batch for this year. Anyway, I have pics!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
This is Momma, Wendy. She is a bit timid but once she is comfortable there are not enough pets in the world! She is an easy going, relaxed Momma. The vet was pretty sure she had done this before.....<br />

<br />
And here's a pile of squirmy babies! Not the greatest pics but it's hard to get good shots at this point. Everyone is doing well and gaining weight. had a bit of an eye infection issue but I have seen it before and knew what to do - I'll spare you the gory details. It's all taken care of and babies are doing quite well. We have been socializing them and doing important training in loves and pets and kisses and belly rubs.<br />
<br />
I don't know about you but we are ready for the school year to wind down and come to an end over here. In light of that our challenge this week at <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Bitten By the Bug 2</a> is graduation. I have been skipping around doing my albums but I really need to go back and actually finish each year and move ahead. In light of that, it was the perfect time to make a page for her measly pre-school graduation pics. I have vague memories of this age where she was wearing me out like nothing her brothers ever did so it's probably lucky I have pics at all - even bad ones!<br />

<br />
<br />
Anyone else dying of spring allergies? OMGosh all 3 of us are officially miserable! However, I am excited this morning because I also woke up to spring babies! If you have read my blog for awhile you know we foster rescue cats - specializing in pregnant ones and sick kittens. I got this momma 6 weeks ago and she has been getting huge so I knew it was going to be a big litter and this morning she came strolling up for her breakfast looking considerably trimmer. It took a bit of searching but I discovered SIX new teeny babies! SO HAPPY!<br />
<br />
In honor of the arrival of spring the challenge on <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Bitten By the Bug 2</a> this week is bugs/insects of all kinds. I found these cute pics of Pez making faces from about 3 1/2 years ago and thought they would be perfect for a cute as a bug layout.<br />
<br />

And now I am off to inspect each new little baby closely to make sure they are healthy! I hope you join us at <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">BBTB2</a> for our challenge this week! We would love to see your projects!<br />

<br />
<br />
Is everyone enjoying some Spring weather? We sure are - hoping it lasts for a bit. I got my front flower beds cleared and mulched but not the back :(<br />
<br />
The challenge this week over on the <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Bitten By the Bug 2</a> blog is spring flowers. I wasn't sure at first what I was going to make and then But then it seems the word got out in my daughter's school library that I have a Cricut and might be useful in helping them decorate the bulletin board in the lobby. (My best friend volunteers in there once a week so you can guess how I got tapped to help!) <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNE2wZoc63yXSS5w69eHKaYWBqbVA58u-FCBCU1aThgfmWag4vFX9LU9zZUCVp8MCsJGv7Dw4ClzxD-Ai87IhvlIeh53N02OT4z8A4q4kofUvLBa-F5PVS_L9o1LPtlOgz91VEv_4mkj8/s1600/17670932_10154402676472197_1030722646_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNE2wZoc63yXSS5w69eHKaYWBqbVA58u-FCBCU1aThgfmWag4vFX9LU9zZUCVp8MCsJGv7Dw4ClzxD-Ai87IhvlIeh53N02OT4z8A4q4kofUvLBa-F5PVS_L9o1LPtlOgz91VEv_4mkj8/s400/17670932_10154402676472197_1030722646_n.jpg" width="225" /></a></div>
<br />
Anyway, they told me the theme was April Showers bring May Flowers and sent me this pic from Pinterest - PERFECT!<br />
<br />
Our board is horizontal not vertical so we had to make a few adjustments....<br />

And here it is! The librarian made the actual rainbow and rain drops but me and my Cricut did the rest. I was a bit limited size wise of course but I thought I had gone big enough. However, once it was put up I do wish I had done it a bit larger by splitting up the words. (I'm sure there will be a next time - I have already been asked for wording for the lunchroom board!)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguAX8drc1KYhFQ1amYKp9Qug93rwL_fd0-yMsDoslTgjYxhuu6VdYPK5NQ21gycuXr9LD4hjPG8ycv-2IFmZKzgavLUX-2DWHvmqoylh_b6Bmtv4CoovgTEvl9TDAxZPixb5u13rAp5os/s1600/pic+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguAX8drc1KYhFQ1amYKp9Qug93rwL_fd0-yMsDoslTgjYxhuu6VdYPK5NQ21gycuXr9LD4hjPG8ycv-2IFmZKzgavLUX-2DWHvmqoylh_b6Bmtv4CoovgTEvl9TDAxZPixb5u13rAp5os/s640/pic+2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Here is my garden - almost entirely Cricut cartridge cuts - just the little bugs are SVGs - they were too cute to pass up.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWQQAa_uZ0LUYVW480Ir4g_Tz_g413jAjPgZUfQZBnQpPD7JNM_AscM12tkQ-Xfu3Rb00Up5xyFKDLCxIQd7-w_SqnfFiAHSDx1LIek_IuC0O4CvVxhYuFt2wk5Ne3Ax5ozirbIeXlZWQ/s1600/pic+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWQQAa_uZ0LUYVW480Ir4g_Tz_g413jAjPgZUfQZBnQpPD7JNM_AscM12tkQ-Xfu3Rb00Up5xyFKDLCxIQd7-w_SqnfFiAHSDx1LIek_IuC0O4CvVxhYuFt2wk5Ne3Ax5ozirbIeXlZWQ/s640/pic+3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I did my wording in Make the Cut so I could add the umbrella SVG and then make a shadow for the whole thing.<br />
<br />
The second portion of wording plus my sun and cloud SVGs - again done in Make the Cut first so I could do the shadow. I am glad I can do them in MTC and then import them into Design Space but I really do wish Design Space would get a shadow feature on it.<br />
<br />
I am also including this in the following challenges:<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
We have a new challenge up for <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Bitten By the Bug 2</a> - Sweet. This can be interpreted in several ways - sweet treats for birthdays, sweet designs for a baby, etc.<br />
<br />
I chose to make a birthday tag with this fantastic ice cream cut.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgl2PY1flIw8a6og0cXqOi7E58b0aDB-bEw0WjMrYlBgQzfi6UDbLd5hMVKooagFIBMYUtJu9CJIeJJOUdHelBCPfFhP9_GJHnaIOgFTIDPqYyy-TUThyLmSSMrDFh5b2kjrZMjEnAY_qE/s1600/pic+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgl2PY1flIw8a6og0cXqOi7E58b0aDB-bEw0WjMrYlBgQzfi6UDbLd5hMVKooagFIBMYUtJu9CJIeJJOUdHelBCPfFhP9_GJHnaIOgFTIDPqYyy-TUThyLmSSMrDFh5b2kjrZMjEnAY_qE/s640/pic+1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Both the tag and the ice cream came from the Sweet Treats cartridge. I love the tags on that cartridge! I used the current card sketch on the Tuesday Morning sketches for my tag front. I dug out my old SU corner rounding punch for the corners of the polka dot paper I put on top of the tag base. Three little brown glittered skittles and a big brown bow balanced it perfectly I think! Pink and brown has always been one of my favorite color combinations.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTLcDf9MINV5KOf2qjmDxCfZtSFOh0HKve7yZm8Wy_brWIS-q2lRCws70bNcJxC7XOjdvrlpwBMLLaLVCe_qf-bQp22BYDrXxY9DO9c6ZTlM2EsAyFh0oqX4xHwTRBWUyEKtpphCDAx_8/s1600/pic+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTLcDf9MINV5KOf2qjmDxCfZtSFOh0HKve7yZm8Wy_brWIS-q2lRCws70bNcJxC7XOjdvrlpwBMLLaLVCe_qf-bQp22BYDrXxY9DO9c6ZTlM2EsAyFh0oqX4xHwTRBWUyEKtpphCDAx_8/s640/pic+2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I gave the whipped cream on top an extra special touch by covering it with white liquid pearls and some pink microbeads.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhk5-FuDoOyG-fDvazbNaaM5VGd6_7h3VoctlhTrHUQzc20QsOY1egst_8QJMrLux6RCfBMMdpvhgs4-fMWJfkM1qaxc1Lv4MrZYQH0eR2STIEcEMx2B6ceRPc3a1XAKxxv2mu2w47LD3g/s1600/pic+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhk5-FuDoOyG-fDvazbNaaM5VGd6_7h3VoctlhTrHUQzc20QsOY1egst_8QJMrLux6RCfBMMdpvhgs4-fMWJfkM1qaxc1Lv4MrZYQH0eR2STIEcEMx2B6ceRPc3a1XAKxxv2mu2w47LD3g/s640/pic+3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
When I was making the first tag I came across this little party hat on Sweet Treats and decided I should make a second tag as well with the same layout. I envision this one being for a boy's gift so I wasn't sure I wanted to put the brown bow on it - haven't decided what I will put instead.....perhaps some curling ribbon when I add it to the package.<br />
<br />
I hope you'll join in the <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">BBTB2</a> challenge and show us YOUR projects!<br />

<br />
<br />
It's Easter time over on the <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Bitten By the Bug 2 Challenge blog</a>! If I were really good I'd have some adorable little Easter projects for ya to give to Pezza and the grandbabies but nope! How I have less time now than I did when she was little is beyond me but I suppose I do volunteer for way too much. I also don't have a housekeeper the way I did back in the day :P<br />
<br />
Anyway, instead I did a layout of Pezza with last year's Easter pics:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSRadNfRW7jk3ZuVeidBpObky9iAqqnRHtGtlKl-j4nzDL8cPNgtsx-Y8Wr9vP4l2i4IpRb82mxNzGXcxc8dbMQ0Ys7ALvlEpJB9dJ7c6EfoxnyLTuzdrMaAKLzYovrUbm-j96HiKSwGY/s1600/pic+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSRadNfRW7jk3ZuVeidBpObky9iAqqnRHtGtlKl-j4nzDL8cPNgtsx-Y8Wr9vP4l2i4IpRb82mxNzGXcxc8dbMQ0Ys7ALvlEpJB9dJ7c6EfoxnyLTuzdrMaAKLzYovrUbm-j96HiKSwGY/s640/pic+1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Oh how I do love completing a good 2 page spread!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEKn7qKCdBtGue-EW5-YkqL8N_wmvspyMVAA4h94e0icK22VPY5HC23N4MJNurrf90aw34ggk7D23k7hoq2mpxsWENpuNCr3GIhkZdfOL_MnVMrfOb23LYCfT9wNG5HZZ3DspMRkK0vfU/s1600/pic+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEKn7qKCdBtGue-EW5-YkqL8N_wmvspyMVAA4h94e0icK22VPY5HC23N4MJNurrf90aw34ggk7D23k7hoq2mpxsWENpuNCr3GIhkZdfOL_MnVMrfOb23LYCfT9wNG5HZZ3DspMRkK0vfU/s400/pic+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I love the pics on this page because of the great action sequence I somehow managed to catch when she reached up for an egg that was too high - her poor sad little face!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMuV5fAoWG2CLnSly48XOiHsvG0tj9-ZzCtIkLAB9Z3H_oWxsPzmdNR5OX4UaG9dyBMXn2H1OI3LXLHkCq9hRBqTcihxDKhPGLcVORdZeeHUNoDakrM5RAdKyHhc7IfwaHqRB3a7dsONE/s1600/pic+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMuV5fAoWG2CLnSly48XOiHsvG0tj9-ZzCtIkLAB9Z3H_oWxsPzmdNR5OX4UaG9dyBMXn2H1OI3LXLHkCq9hRBqTcihxDKhPGLcVORdZeeHUNoDakrM5RAdKyHhc7IfwaHqRB3a7dsONE/s400/pic+3.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I couldn't help but include all these pics - she tends to take herself way too seriously when I pull out the camera which makes it hard to get good natural facial expressions. For some reason on this morning she was relaxed and hamming it up.<br />
<br />
I used several other challenges as inspiration for this page and one in particular really spoke to me - it was a picture challenge at Stampin' Royalty:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitpGzPpSbZPlf5uq5V2KkWEO0IEbe6D9x6vfAumRsWnSWLR517nkiLzbN6TLx3wCHIz2MOsaIqcyxjVzR0H8EB3i4Ih5ajo2WAsjtbYfHkeHjAPbxg2gNZljT4CqnX-5yXEZbvWQGv6bc/s1600/stamping+royalty+inspiration.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitpGzPpSbZPlf5uq5V2KkWEO0IEbe6D9x6vfAumRsWnSWLR517nkiLzbN6TLx3wCHIz2MOsaIqcyxjVzR0H8EB3i4Ih5ajo2WAsjtbYfHkeHjAPbxg2gNZljT4CqnX-5yXEZbvWQGv6bc/s320/stamping+royalty+inspiration.jpg" width="247" /></a></div>
I really loved the color scheme - mostly kraft and off white with greenery, glittery turquoise and hints of pink and yellow.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha1l5E0mN8SVBf1q9VXOcHlNa_oZ4zJHC2XdTVI0IkUmKhgkvIgCxYgetl9oJp__boTNDLwrsRXsi6lbGPr3R-lxVxA74KzxeWQJWUGxNoCz0xbG-CdaAhzsgIxNqdg8BAmXjSNZ2AoWQ/s1600/pic+4.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha1l5E0mN8SVBf1q9VXOcHlNa_oZ4zJHC2XdTVI0IkUmKhgkvIgCxYgetl9oJp__boTNDLwrsRXsi6lbGPr3R-lxVxA74KzxeWQJWUGxNoCz0xbG-CdaAhzsgIxNqdg8BAmXjSNZ2AoWQ/s320/pic+4.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Of course I had to include a bunny cut - this one comes from Kate's ABCs - probably one of my MOST favorite Cricut Cartridges.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgm2jwuA_2TyiPQeqb6GmVam6y4Y-TmF_uXsX50UZ-YqsKEYOISxDAj0DJ2v_RbE39abzWOJ6Wbn6QjC1rzgU1PuBjMiTmjJOY9AmGtHqATbfIUcLG5bILEtJ-G8Q483iN9coR9XOWHIu8/s1600/pic+5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgm2jwuA_2TyiPQeqb6GmVam6y4Y-TmF_uXsX50UZ-YqsKEYOISxDAj0DJ2v_RbE39abzWOJ6Wbn6QjC1rzgU1PuBjMiTmjJOY9AmGtHqATbfIUcLG5bILEtJ-G8Q483iN9coR9XOWHIu8/s400/pic+5.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The glitter in the inspiration picture made me decide to pull out some glitter paper I have had for at LEAST 5 years and never used. I do love the way the paper looks and it cut well in the Cricut but the back is a very slick almost plastic feel and I am skeptical about it sticking to what it's glued on to for the long haul. I guess we'll see......<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWIiB6HPpjAAsBH0ciG8knuVjmE4SxZqqjZpHBY4IdKTq6o5ZsNaMxWAApCvKUEqWrDivrrGFzMzJRfTaf5eYd_F800QPAnDFC4Sz5TT54ZFsrUVvqVGammXn7j2AYl2oRMvyUZqx0rc4/s1600/pic+6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWIiB6HPpjAAsBH0ciG8knuVjmE4SxZqqjZpHBY4IdKTq6o5ZsNaMxWAApCvKUEqWrDivrrGFzMzJRfTaf5eYd_F800QPAnDFC4Sz5TT54ZFsrUVvqVGammXn7j2AYl2oRMvyUZqx0rc4/s400/pic+6.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
One of the things I love doing when I make a grid style design is to use card sketches for some of them. I used more glitter paper and even remembered to pull out my Cuttlebug and embossing folders! Yay!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0Aj9fEdon9HWdnwdQBGEPuKudd4BBT-lzxlrgGficKWkPX26xsPqdDU8dBdcKSl6TynMEb4Vh-pQh27XHKlW6V4zE6FIrECi-DFMrzQN4jhgUqkiDm_CTcKJjMcSmlAd6WmVcmKYRTq0/s1600/pic+7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0Aj9fEdon9HWdnwdQBGEPuKudd4BBT-lzxlrgGficKWkPX26xsPqdDU8dBdcKSl6TynMEb4Vh-pQh27XHKlW6V4zE6FIrECi-DFMrzQN4jhgUqkiDm_CTcKJjMcSmlAd6WmVcmKYRTq0/s400/pic+7.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I went over the embossing with a kraft colored chalk Dew Drop ink pad to enhance it. I would have liked a pink glitter paper here but no luck :)<br />
<br />
I hope some of you will join us for our challenge at BBTB2!<br />
<br />
I went through lots of challenge blogs this week looking for inspiration - I miss participating in all the challenges all over the interwebs. I remember when there were just a handful of them - now there are dozens and dozens! I was inspired by the following:<br />

<br />
<br />
Well I am back to posting after a bit of a break. I am still on the design team for <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Bitten By the Bug 2 </a>and this week's challenge is trees in honor of Arbor Day.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFVzGxxyprt63sSEV30-ZrekUAVzWN6loO8Uv6oiVnL9_kEfBE_XXMBPCsAC8WUbJpN8_XMVscfJn3ro_nukvVZWuTve26lBhHx4ZZNoRrd71iBFSMWWCsoSfbzx6OQSx_rAW-c8lzIkE/s1600/pic+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFVzGxxyprt63sSEV30-ZrekUAVzWN6loO8Uv6oiVnL9_kEfBE_XXMBPCsAC8WUbJpN8_XMVscfJn3ro_nukvVZWuTve26lBhHx4ZZNoRrd71iBFSMWWCsoSfbzx6OQSx_rAW-c8lzIkE/s640/pic+1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I wanted to get these beach pics scrapped from a few years ago so I went with a palm tree.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxs5clFr1sqA0K7_cTKZgqe2pwO49_YL1zGh1OHLhnz0MQRZbnY4PjaWNbD-RS82dnV_jcHpgY-4vdi1RaXj95zYKk4P2N3PxP63pkWJ1Cmv-YvLJNPI0fenYkowWC62OgGIVUpGGSW5U/s1600/pic+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="384" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxs5clFr1sqA0K7_cTKZgqe2pwO49_YL1zGh1OHLhnz0MQRZbnY4PjaWNbD-RS82dnV_jcHpgY-4vdi1RaXj95zYKk4P2N3PxP63pkWJ1Cmv-YvLJNPI0fenYkowWC62OgGIVUpGGSW5U/s640/pic+2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I loved this title SVG cut I found at Treasure Box Designs. The flower accents came from the Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge and the flip flops & sunglasses came from the Pack Your Bags Cricut cartridge.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid-xbWZ2A38dNvK9NImEYzKrY9A5MNxckBDJERVDT513bU994HJ7vfNrn7qbSC6mvxBL5LcZtUKBTUWwTLNACfh_42vjnlmPqher2MfXG1INmdx9JfeTmlnlyBKDuVLJfI3rw0vFKN178/s1600/pic+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid-xbWZ2A38dNvK9NImEYzKrY9A5MNxckBDJERVDT513bU994HJ7vfNrn7qbSC6mvxBL5LcZtUKBTUWwTLNACfh_42vjnlmPqher2MfXG1INmdx9JfeTmlnlyBKDuVLJfI3rw0vFKN178/s640/pic+3.jpg" width="384" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
The palm tree is an SVG cut file from Kadoodle Bug Designs - I really loved the little zig zag accent going up the trunk so I just had to have it. My little Crabbie is from the Create A Critter Cricut cartridge - This particular trip was to Outer Banks, NC and Pezza and I were obsessed with waking up really early to walk to the beach and watch the dozens and dozens of little crabs pop up out of their holes and scurry around on the beach.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWAnAHKN7UDiS6neIK9u9GtGwXrHi8Y3BXQPs4YWdBeDjJUgGUCcKdne9NV5hFkqWwjQ3iwSw_TVEc_IZ629vrjfSMjp9IpJRKFKaMcJ8VwBbw0lk0Txu2VEWCaSH7kZlH9me1TRHjYGg/s1600/pic+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="384" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWAnAHKN7UDiS6neIK9u9GtGwXrHi8Y3BXQPs4YWdBeDjJUgGUCcKdne9NV5hFkqWwjQ3iwSw_TVEc_IZ629vrjfSMjp9IpJRKFKaMcJ8VwBbw0lk0Txu2VEWCaSH7kZlH9me1TRHjYGg/s640/pic+4.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
My second page includes a couple more of the flower accents as well as a shell from the Life's A Beach cartridge and a border from the Ribbons & Rosettes cartridge.<br />
<br />
I love doing beach themed layouts mostly because I love the colors. Perhaps I need to incorporate these fun beachy colors in my house!<br />
<br />
I hope you will come join in the challenge over on BBTB2!<br />
<br />
I am also entering this layout in the following challenge:<br />

<br />
<br />
Is everyone buried in holiday shenanigans like me??? We have 8 birthdays and our anniversary in our immediate families all within a month (or much closer) to Christmas so it is extra insanity around here! My oldest grandson will be 2 next week so I am making his some Thomas the Tank Engine cookies on top of the usual slew of Christmas cookies - if I make it to New Years it will be a miracle! Hahaha!<br />
<br />
This week's challenge on <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Bitten By the Bug</a> 2 is to use a Christmas or other winter holiday symbol on a project. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3R7sifnG7SqDyjWXESm2jz1n1TktTheDdlI4azB217fWlHqSdhqcDs4aSbkKAUnOvZgDaV-OiuxS8cGSrNINTL-KfXULG1QI4T1CrqXj0f0AL32nRpvYzK1Kuwuct2X2uj4yEfmlskdk/s1600/Ornament.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3R7sifnG7SqDyjWXESm2jz1n1TktTheDdlI4azB217fWlHqSdhqcDs4aSbkKAUnOvZgDaV-OiuxS8cGSrNINTL-KfXULG1QI4T1CrqXj0f0AL32nRpvYzK1Kuwuct2X2uj4yEfmlskdk/s640/Ornament.jpg" width="512" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I hand out Starbucks gift cards at my daughter's school so I make little gift card holders using a cut called Card Holder with insert from Fabulous Finds. If you want to make one the width of the Holder is 5.75" and the insert is 3.1" She really liked this little happy face ornament from Simply Charmed. I have 6 more to make. Glad I can cut them out so quickly thanks to my Cricut!<br />
<br />
Head over to <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">BBTB2</a> and see the other amazing projects from the design team and then make something to enter in our challenge!<br />

<br />
<br />
Did everyone have a good Thanksgiving and stuff yourselves full of good food? I know we did! I have a different sort of post for you today. I have a ridiculous amount of hobbies/interests other than paper crafts so today I wanted to share one of my latest ones - Chainmaille jewelry.<br />
<br />
Here are the pieces that started it - Christmas items I am making as gifts.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSEgCq7lLBPzjSfSQW6ibSuOZ0WS-vm5xJwc-vva8At8cnlLj7aZtm3QjmH3XzgEtECrZpZczWuVNsHxnwexil7qoT8mPOTivUIAaJ4R-vwTfqCGmdFbLcyisLs64zqXEpW4denlssEik/s1600/Xmas+trees.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="422" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSEgCq7lLBPzjSfSQW6ibSuOZ0WS-vm5xJwc-vva8At8cnlLj7aZtm3QjmH3XzgEtECrZpZczWuVNsHxnwexil7qoT8mPOTivUIAaJ4R-vwTfqCGmdFbLcyisLs64zqXEpW4denlssEik/s640/Xmas+trees.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
First up - Christmas trees. I had initially thought I would make these and the wreath below as pendants but Once I made them both I decided they are too big so they will be ornaments. The tree to the left I made to see how a smaller version would look and may still make a few of them as pendants.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHnZ3eJlW4_S3j7HLQ_JOSXLYefHR2jNlBuUfQMfXMEEJXgZP2ldl7Z7libsuFgH_RlYYxYEMkU46aokt48MZrLRAm9f4E55FY_ahhknkM2EmkZRIji7HDi0Y-4SVwwddVrEn0o1YG_UY/s1600/Xmas+Wreath.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHnZ3eJlW4_S3j7HLQ_JOSXLYefHR2jNlBuUfQMfXMEEJXgZP2ldl7Z7libsuFgH_RlYYxYEMkU46aokt48MZrLRAm9f4E55FY_ahhknkM2EmkZRIji7HDi0Y-4SVwwddVrEn0o1YG_UY/s640/Xmas+Wreath.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And the wreath....<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiRqV8jILJI2H8oUAJcdvjS-lsC7WQs6y3hqXSeMXwyawGH7MiMinAmY4PolJ2TYjn02KQpKce7YOWL_f9TGmvW_y5fpLNKTSmboULVp02gKqGAJjBltq0agHOTPEgGvsShm-03a8_4MU/s1600/Helms+Pendant.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="448" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiRqV8jILJI2H8oUAJcdvjS-lsC7WQs6y3hqXSeMXwyawGH7MiMinAmY4PolJ2TYjn02KQpKce7YOWL_f9TGmvW_y5fpLNKTSmboULVp02gKqGAJjBltq0agHOTPEgGvsShm-03a8_4MU/s640/Helms+Pendant.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
To the right is my attempt at a smaller version of the wreath that could work as a pendant but it is too small to add the little gold bow. I also used the same pattern of rings to make a slightly larger pendant to see how I liked it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnVbvx_AnxFNvnYV9pGQIbk_ctVaLNkybnrQN4lzOOfTxI_GzSMd1ZIu-1i3hyphenhyphen8tJbpomwhIqChlEyjZB4XIVTVy4Arf9E3UvK7TsttcHv7YDqoNDDmvvae7DcFSYJKJkzR4FfeyuFbDQ/s1600/Xmas+helms+bracelet.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnVbvx_AnxFNvnYV9pGQIbk_ctVaLNkybnrQN4lzOOfTxI_GzSMd1ZIu-1i3hyphenhyphen8tJbpomwhIqChlEyjZB4XIVTVy4Arf9E3UvK7TsttcHv7YDqoNDDmvvae7DcFSYJKJkzR4FfeyuFbDQ/s400/Xmas+helms+bracelet.jpg" width="265" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the same pattern as the wreath but is a bracelet.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxB3MnHv8ixH0miQebomSLmItQlpkgx7FfzfA0fe1t15V7j6bVhsb-lmPAWQgBPVO3dxxXAb5nIdqZ988Scr1gG9TO70F6YHi2CS-yeZuWCWaNDAkTCf9D5QwnnmxxY5Xq5w5zHJMaLy4/s1600/Japanese+cross+and+byzantine.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="422" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxB3MnHv8ixH0miQebomSLmItQlpkgx7FfzfA0fe1t15V7j6bVhsb-lmPAWQgBPVO3dxxXAb5nIdqZ988Scr1gG9TO70F6YHi2CS-yeZuWCWaNDAkTCf9D5QwnnmxxY5Xq5w5zHJMaLy4/s640/Japanese+cross+and+byzantine.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Pezza recently got a very fancy white and blue dress for the holidays and wanted jewelry to go with it so I made these - a bracelet and a pendant.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGDrd04PIWw4kyZsbY6vN20MyrDhBffM8AbfK2f717p017ZhIese_onf87ZsR699AL4xQ-vMpIHqdnHK9V1j0DI-WYswaHaqJbdaGsQZgrIQBguAnpRqkN-Fs7KWTmLm57fsLpxgbwVNg/s1600/pez+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGDrd04PIWw4kyZsbY6vN20MyrDhBffM8AbfK2f717p017ZhIese_onf87ZsR699AL4xQ-vMpIHqdnHK9V1j0DI-WYswaHaqJbdaGsQZgrIQBguAnpRqkN-Fs7KWTmLm57fsLpxgbwVNg/s640/pez+1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I had not finished her bracelet yet...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-7baZ1YMbQpUty7dBEcqa7sUx2ojBizNId6gSMyhHcY0iMbkZpzy0qqEAnSY7uVBt0IkDbv64faOzot-CBpmFZRrs853qxppgm97VkbiAM8dFV1nZr0xJnArA70XKmt4sLtUEYBaN_xI/s1600/Byzantine+half+blk+and+gld.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="512" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-7baZ1YMbQpUty7dBEcqa7sUx2ojBizNId6gSMyhHcY0iMbkZpzy0qqEAnSY7uVBt0IkDbv64faOzot-CBpmFZRrs853qxppgm97VkbiAM8dFV1nZr0xJnArA70XKmt4sLtUEYBaN_xI/s640/Byzantine+half+blk+and+gld.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This is a bracelet I will be giving my mom for Christmas.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKknVXRNMYG_Ha8vAytaLLet0wGqSBlz2-hIcwkd8aUJsPsbZbgcD8tydfIN3q6vRfUNcAOsRbhhIBDgDzEWRKwCq1AtDe3YbFe_RVKHR_c6ERmOklzsoyq7tEY3CbN9FySLanTAlWQ9g/s1600/Byzantine+drop+pendant.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKknVXRNMYG_Ha8vAytaLLet0wGqSBlz2-hIcwkd8aUJsPsbZbgcD8tydfIN3q6vRfUNcAOsRbhhIBDgDzEWRKwCq1AtDe3YbFe_RVKHR_c6ERmOklzsoyq7tEY3CbN9FySLanTAlWQ9g/s400/Byzantine+drop+pendant.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
And finally - matching pendants for me and Pez. I have been having quite a bit of fun working on these. It makes for a nice project to do sitting in front of the TV in the evenings. What do y'all think?<br />

<br />
<br />
Are y'all as ready for some Thanksgiving feasting as I am? We will actually be doing two dinners - one at my in-laws on Thursday and then a second one at my house Saturday with our traditional family fare for my son, daughter in law and grandbabies.<br />
<br />
Our challenge this week on<a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"> Bitten By the Bug 2</a> is to make a Thanksgiving themed item using the word Thanks or Thankful. One of my closest friends is heading up our Teacher Appreciation committee at school so I have been helping her each month with different things for our teachers and staff. This month we are giving them all a pumpkin pie so I made the tags that will go on them:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigV2RTErP_rMHpXTtPdtjxafY-2CdezXVeZeP5aAsi3RniRPCOQSYziJUbk45-wHwKd6prBH__xwSpR1-tG7YkZmvvTl2dZzX-LgWAcKhePEnoBEHjL8cihseDR55sE1qYS4bQN1-xJbI/s1600/pic+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigV2RTErP_rMHpXTtPdtjxafY-2CdezXVeZeP5aAsi3RniRPCOQSYziJUbk45-wHwKd6prBH__xwSpR1-tG7YkZmvvTl2dZzX-LgWAcKhePEnoBEHjL8cihseDR55sE1qYS4bQN1-xJbI/s400/pic+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I needed to cut 65 of them so I needed to keep it fairly simple! I think it turned out pretty cute! Stop by the <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">BBTB2 blog</a> to see what the other team members created and then post your own project to our linky! Have a great holiday!<br />

<br />
<br />
Well, Halloween is done so onward we go - and yes I am skipping Thanksgiving and going straight to Christmas! I don't really need any Thanksgiving stuff but I do need Christmas cards! I have 3 for this week's challenge on <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Bitten By the Bug 2</a> - holiday images from nature.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSGzRcbqgXZBZ_RU9ydcWP0doSOpK6cZAmlSnXL59V23gxvELXYlydX3wK8ClXABAy5PClOZvLdXSWsxpaL69CA98WqvEXMCLN7a1ZA8YlMNPS42cJGPqmCEM4YRJ1rlV2gS9nCl7qjrs/s1600/pic+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSGzRcbqgXZBZ_RU9ydcWP0doSOpK6cZAmlSnXL59V23gxvELXYlydX3wK8ClXABAy5PClOZvLdXSWsxpaL69CA98WqvEXMCLN7a1ZA8YlMNPS42cJGPqmCEM4YRJ1rlV2gS9nCl7qjrs/s640/pic+1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I LOVE Christmas stuff mostly because it's the only time of the year (except Mardi Gras of course) where the more sparkle you have the better! In light of that I began this set of cards by mixing up some super sparkly mist using Splash of Color Primary Elements powder, gum arabic and water. I misted lightly over a stencil - a combination of green and gold for 2 and blue and gold for the center one.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMR3SH-dALLWrEfvVOaEyLo7meTuM2Zd0d00hzfe5eQO_LUL5jaob6Cy8PzLCrPBE8MF0ZVhuXLRy4YeQHFK91FVgyetKIVerK1Fflq2DEMTqpAdUUpcfV0s0f6z7mOXdEi93gm-9lzI4/s1600/pic+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMR3SH-dALLWrEfvVOaEyLo7meTuM2Zd0d00hzfe5eQO_LUL5jaob6Cy8PzLCrPBE8MF0ZVhuXLRy4YeQHFK91FVgyetKIVerK1Fflq2DEMTqpAdUUpcfV0s0f6z7mOXdEi93gm-9lzI4/s640/pic+2.jpg" width="512" /></a></div>
<br />
I wanted to keep these clean and simple so the only thing I added were Cricut cuts and a simple stamped sentiment. You can really see the sparkle!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtn1bDsh-X789MSC3EGX_wLCn5fZqpCW9E3lPXOhvnBkSx6t1jwl4tA_KCUdHM2z9Y8PvKVe4OH1HkzfFJNQkIm2Crw27FIifK0DhJse8TfBBWU5WbBPnH21vvCpif-xsrg_EBuVeN8ss/s1600/pic+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtn1bDsh-X789MSC3EGX_wLCn5fZqpCW9E3lPXOhvnBkSx6t1jwl4tA_KCUdHM2z9Y8PvKVe4OH1HkzfFJNQkIm2Crw27FIifK0DhJse8TfBBWU5WbBPnH21vvCpif-xsrg_EBuVeN8ss/s640/pic+3.jpg" width="512" /></a></div>
<br />
I only used 2 of the layers for this snowflake - again to keep it simple.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-OoYql6va9D6JH1n7RBpp6aPOfXqpN0aHTa8AwI5MomCHqDv9wW0tkNSw4QtykIzh3vdf9eC1aU9qUuL0jkZisj5nCrq4lFGtHn8FW4j7LxhVWwts3zNdb0HRxhq2rI9V_WU2NV-Vww8/s1600/pic+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-OoYql6va9D6JH1n7RBpp6aPOfXqpN0aHTa8AwI5MomCHqDv9wW0tkNSw4QtykIzh3vdf9eC1aU9qUuL0jkZisj5nCrq4lFGtHn8FW4j7LxhVWwts3zNdb0HRxhq2rI9V_WU2NV-Vww8/s640/pic+4.jpg" width="512" /></a></div>
<br />
I just love that shimmer!<br />

<br />
<br />
A super quick drive by posting as I am knee deep in finishing making Pezza's Halloween costume AND in charge of her school's Original Works artwork ordering program (which means sorting through, preparing and organizing several hundred orders ACK!)<br />
<br />
I am the host this week over on the <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Bitten By the Bug 2 Challenge</a> and I chose flourishes. I never get tired of them and there are oodles to choose from in the Cricut Library. I made a sympathy card for my aunt:<br />

<br />
<br />
I am feeling the whirlwind of the holiday season - anyone else? Seems once school starts I don't find time to breath until sometime in January!<br />
<br />
This week's challenge on <a href="http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Bitten By the Bug</a> is football. I figured this was the perfect opportunity to scrap some cheerleading pics of Pezza:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyolAO1U3AOFOT2p0qUYmKyoKQF8cCXg9lJykKdgypTEgKDqji-49B7FuEV-eRdaDv4gOkaBNfPZoKvz6p4QP5FMdKU6ym9rHW076A4fiG2Q0kQ6OWPp_YRgB7P-5SzKqanlWYGg6XbYM/s1600/pic+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyolAO1U3AOFOT2p0qUYmKyoKQF8cCXg9lJykKdgypTEgKDqji-49B7FuEV-eRdaDv4gOkaBNfPZoKvz6p4QP5FMdKU6ym9rHW076A4fiG2Q0kQ6OWPp_YRgB7P-5SzKqanlWYGg6XbYM/s640/pic+1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I chose to concentrate on page 1 - I had a lot of pictures and it can often be tough to fit them all in a layout and still have room for the fun part of designing elements to go with them. I picked her best pics and focused on some fun die cuts for page 1 and then put the rest in a grid on page 2.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnuIgVPa57Egd7ngfFXv5wmrCB1KO-ezCWDHYmcSegUubynOOsHhGv6tplPsxLnTFpuSCpNdpf3lAFRc9WHt3jTfhioUSXv5cL9Tet_Tqc9Oj7GINrEqstqQ_TyKafk6LNci78fT6L0Oo/s1600/pic+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnuIgVPa57Egd7ngfFXv5wmrCB1KO-ezCWDHYmcSegUubynOOsHhGv6tplPsxLnTFpuSCpNdpf3lAFRc9WHt3jTfhioUSXv5cL9Tet_Tqc9Oj7GINrEqstqQ_TyKafk6LNci78fT6L0Oo/s320/pic+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The adorable little cheer leader and the matching title piece came from Kadoodle Bug Designs.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnIcN1zSXDZpqLlkBrr5h0XYVGuOI_1DSRzVVp1W9zwBGsaiMbJh0Kkh0hMaK7Cjh0-lwDDkY0dw1pwgiDoXwE_8H0uTroie8QKheVRaY0EYWmCSHeJZx6Bs1NDpclHvxZx-xVi0qV_Hk/s1600/pic+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="256" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnIcN1zSXDZpqLlkBrr5h0XYVGuOI_1DSRzVVp1W9zwBGsaiMbJh0Kkh0hMaK7Cjh0-lwDDkY0dw1pwgiDoXwE_8H0uTroie8QKheVRaY0EYWmCSHeJZx6Bs1NDpclHvxZx-xVi0qV_Hk/s320/pic+3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The cool football themed tiles came from the Sports Mania Cricut Cartridge.<br />

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">This post is going to be super quick! I am packing up to leave early in the morning to go to my oldest son's house for my grandbaby's first birthday!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The challenge on Bitten By the Bug this week is retro. I went way retro on this anniversary card for my in-laws:</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I used the Art Nouveau cartridge for the fancy flowers - I just love the images on that cartridge - so elegant!</span><br />

</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Quick post today for Pezza. Her teacher missed the 2nd & 3rd week of school because her father died. Pezza was very excited about her finally coming back and asked if she could make her a card so of course I agreed.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0V7hatvIMXpLYOYL3-n6Lfepas5bmOa-ysBzKi3B6OxmqsFpEiJZ_4uY12Sj5X_hxTVsVMnDBIC7htmG7C6V1PAj5-Jkyde0vA7TVPHcq44jpRXd4kSj4H0OnVHfFArIbRzUajfdlWJI/s1600/pic+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0V7hatvIMXpLYOYL3-n6Lfepas5bmOa-ysBzKi3B6OxmqsFpEiJZ_4uY12Sj5X_hxTVsVMnDBIC7htmG7C6V1PAj5-Jkyde0vA7TVPHcq44jpRXd4kSj4H0OnVHfFArIbRzUajfdlWJI/s640/pic+4.jpg" width="512" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Pezza went through card sketches with me until she found one she liked. Then she picked out the colors and the embossing folder she wanted to use. I cut the papers for her but she did the rest, including drawing the picture herself! I think she did a great job!</span><br />
