cha fun people fun time part 6

little something different today....

we are all trying to get packed up and all the pics are on catherine's camera but she is sleeping (shhhhhh) SO not alot of time to post BUT do not despair - i have something exciting instead - how about a free flower soft boxed set?????? yeppers separate from the general cha giveaway - this post ONLY

i am trying to decide on whether or not i will continue the pezzy's picks mini kits - SO i want your opinions - for those who don't know i came up with the idea for pezzy's picks when basic grey released bittersweet. i knew i wanted it ALL so i threw it all in my sart and then looked at the total and thought EEK - it adds up and i know FULL well i won't come close to using it ALL. and so the idea was born to put together kits of smaller amounts so you have everything that coordinates but in smaller quantities for cheaper price.

i have an very adorable glittery easter collection in mind, the felt embellie sassafrass lass collection and the SEI mimosa - and if i wasn't dieing i would have pics so please forgive me. also currently looking for a good bday collection that is unisex.

collections will also likely include my very own handmade clay and crocheted embellies - SO tell me your thoughts on the whole idea and i will draw a random winner...

and i just want to say you have all been fabulous coming here to read my blog - i feel so special that you take the time out of your day like that! i have read EVERY single comment every day and you guys really crack me up. my final cha post will probably be an answer list to all the questions that came in - and of course i will have one more fun filled pic filled post for you of yesterday's adventures. anaheim will likely be relieved to see us go. (but look out orlando......)
hugs!

  1. How will you fit all this stuff (samples, projects, shopping) etc. in your suitcases? I can just imagine the airlines having to hire another place to get all you gals home from CHA with all your goodies! Can't wait until you have them posted in the store. But I know you'll need to rest up for at least a day when you get home.

  2. I think you should keep your picks. It is a great way to get everything you need without buying EVERYTHING. Perfect.

  3. Stopping by for my Pezzy fix. Just needed a smile...Ive been stuck in Ohio snow for an hour before some kind fella rescued me. :) Its freezing cold and I had already worked all night. As he was shoveling me out I was like "today's my Birthday and it isnt starting off to well" lol Anyhow Im safe at home and checking out CHA posties. Love the mini kit ideas as I always end up with a ton of extras when I buy entire kits!

  5. Looking forward to everything you've got planned for the future! I think the kits are adorable, and you should keep them! I agree---the state of CA is probably not the same as before you girls arrived! (They probably didn't have so many Pop Rocks everyhwere!) LOL

  7. I didn't get any of the Pezzy kits, but I loved the one you did with the inks & Stickles before the holidays. It's kind of nice to have someone coordinate things for you and not having to buy it all.

  11. I have really enjoyed reading about the fun ya'll had at CHA this week! It was like experiencing it vicariously through your eyes. The kits sound kind of cool, but I'm the type who likes to pick her own stuff out. I really want some of that BG paper. I'm a BG addict.

  13. A box of flower soft would be fantastic. I love the idea of your mini kits because my stamping budget is limited. I have thoroughly enjoyed going to CHA thorough your eyes. Looking forward to pics.

  14. I think these mini kits are a great idea. A lot of times when you buy in large quantities, you don't use it all and it just sits there and you keep saving it for something special...never. I like the idea of all-coordinated small amounts. Kathy Eddy

  16. I'm super glad I've had time to actually read the entire post without a kid yelling, "momma momma"!! The weather has me really wanting to scrap more....

anywho, I love the picks. Get a little bit of everything to taste and then come back for more....kind of like hors de'voures.

You including some of your own handmade items is over the top! It shows how much you really appreciate your customers, mb sisters, friends, etc.

  17. Some days you want it all, some days you just need it!! lol
Have a safe trip home and it all looks good!

  18. To be honest I'm torn on the mini kits idea. I almost never buy kits of any kinds because when I craft I never seem to use all the matching items anyway and have leftovers that don't match any of my other items.
They aren't for me, but I can see why people would want them. The flower soft kits are something that will interest me more than the mini kits that for sure!

  19. I absolutely LOVE this idea...I too wanted everything bittersweet but cant afford it, I would have loved a small perfect sampling. The Sassafrass felties are so cute and adorable & the SEI is great so I would be all over that mini kit. Sounds like a great idea....I say its a keeper!!

  24. Thanks for sharing the CHA experience for those of us who can't be there. We are getting bombarded with snow in Ohio today and most everything is closed down, so a good day to play.

  25. Love the idea of continuing the picks, definitely with your other homemades included. That would be an awesome idea.

What would you think of doing them as a stamp kit with one of your new Pezzys?

  30. I haven't tried a kit - I don't think I would use it. I like to try to put together elements and papers from my own stash when I can.
But I would LOVE to try a flower soft kit!
Thanks for all your updates - it's been a lot of fun to "go to CHA" with you!

  33. Keep the mini kits. I bet you are happy after all that cha excitement to be heading home.

  34. I really should not even be commenting as I have not tried your mini-kits. They do sound like a good idea. I think price would be a big factor in buying/not buying, so I really appreciate your efforts to keep prices down. Thanks for all the posts from CHA. The pix's have been great, and I am so glad you guys are having so much fun. Linda S. in NE

  35. I think the picks are a great idea! It is a perfect idea to have just what you need.

  36. I think the kits are a great idea! Like you said they are a good way to get the stuff that goes together without the huge cost! Bottom line though is do they sell well? If the answer is yes, then keep em going.. if the answer is no, then maybe it's not such a great idea, or maybe you have to come up with something to spice them up, like doing challenges with the kits or something like that.

Theres my 2 cents worth ;)

PS: If you find any good birthday lines (preferably masculine) let me know, I have such a hard time locating them!

  37. I'm not much into matching sets, but when I am I would appreciate the smaller collections. My attention span isn't long enough to use up all of a huge set that most collections include. Thanks for all the CHA info. I need to finish some projects so I can order some new stuff.

  38. I too like the smaller kits....no need to buy everything this way!! Keep 'em!!

  39. oh those mini kits are a great idea - I vote to keep em! Budgeting crafters will thank you everywhere!

  42. I think that you should keep your picks. It is so much easier to do a layout with everything that is already coordinated. And for alot of people with not alot of time it is easier to buy the kits already coordinated. Sounds like you had a great time. Wish I could have gone.

  43. hey marti! sounds like ya'll had a blast at CHA. suzanne had asked me if i was going. sadly, i couldn't. i can't wait to get my hands on all your new stuff!! get some rest!

  47. I like the sound of the mini kits. that way you could get a bit of everything, and if there is something in that kit you like specifically , could you not order that one specific thing afterwards?

  51. Reading your entries every day brings back wonderful memories when I attended the HIA/CHA Trade Shows. I really miss going there and can feel the excitement and wonder of all the things you experienced. Now to wait till your orders are delivered and the excitement of sharing your new found goodies with all of us. I'm glad I went when the airlines were quite lenient with baggage weight. We stuffed our biggest bags with samples, gifts and make-it-take-its....felt like Santa Claus. Now to return home and reality...but get a good rest before plunging back into work. Have a great day! 53. I loved the mini kit I got from you. It was just enough and now I can say I used the Basic Gray collection.

Don't you just love Southern California and thrown in is the CHA. I saw you went to Bubba Gumps, we were there a couple of weeks ago with some scrappin' friends.
