And the moment you've all been waiting for......

the winner is......
Paula Hefner!! congrats!! you will LOVE this set - i am already having fun with it.
please email me and give me your address so i can send your stamps out.

for anyone who did not get an order in - i am trying to get more but no luck yet. i CAN tell you i will likely have the same situation with series 12 somewhere around the middle of may or beginning of june.

and now to see the stamps in use:

i did the sketch challenge over on the Paper Patch Crafts MB - sketch 2:

and here is the end result:

i used a new SU paper pack Le Jardin that I just got. I made it almost to the end with no glitter or shimmer and then i got to the brackets and of COURSE thought of the new studio g set. well next thing i know i was stamping it in perfect medium and brushing on the heirloom gold perfect pearls. then i thought how perfect the matching scrolly corners would be in the 3 empty corners and well, they got shimmered too so they would match....the dot border is also one of the new studio gs too - how cute huh???!!! LOVE them

CONGRATS Paula!!!!!

Technostamper monday sketch :)

Each Monday Mary Jo over at Technostamper releases a fun sketch and I just recently started playing along - i LOVE it!! so here is this week's sketch:

And here's my version:

it is not very fancy but i just LOVE Purely Pomegranate paper and adore this designer print from Stampin Up. The stamps is the last from my cracked glass spree i went on - if some is good, more is better!

All of the series 11 i had found sold out in 24 hours SO i am hoping to land some more but it is VERY iffy!! i LOVE all of your comments so far and wish i could respond to them all but i would surely be on here for far too long and might end up divorced HA HA!!

well i have lots of fun ideas but unfortunately i am off to do housework and taxes - oh glory days......

SFYTT - overboard

time for another Sketch For You To Try from one of my MOST fave blogs -
i{heart}tostamp - Jen Del Muro's blog. If you have not had the pleasure run over there now and check her out!! So first the sketch - which is posted every Saturday:

ok so i totally went overboard on this one but i really loved the sketch and i needed a last few more male type cards to send my mom for her show. so here are my samples:

For these I first made paper using the reinker splash technique from Technique Junkies. I used SU reinker - bold brights. then cut the balloons on the cricut with Gearge cart. i embossed with a couple cuttlebug folders - loving the swiss dots which i just got in the mail - man is it hard to come by - i totally lucked out on that one!!

the next few follow the sketch very loosely - not exact but the sketch was my inspiration:

The first two backgrounds are pearl mist made from perfect pearls powder and reinker in a mini mister. the last one was brayered on using a big & juicy rainbow ink pad. the gold and silver ones are embossed using ranger's detail embossing powder - GREAT stuff!! all of these items are available on my website.

finally - remember "cake-cakes?" well here is my adorable little darling enjoying the fruits of our labors.....

don't forget to post your comment on yesterdays entry for a chance to win the full set of the new Studio G $1 stamps-series 11!

SELF!! and new tutorial and design call

Just put another new tutorial up on my website - it demonstrates the pearl mist using perfect pearls powder - go check it out!

There is a designer of the week call every week over at Paper Patch Crafts (AND a new batch of Primas just in too!!!!). Want a chance to be in the SPOTLIGHT - hurry on over there and submit an entry - it is an easy design contest because you can submit anything you want - so get your creative juices going and head over to Paper Patch Crafts. While you are there stop by the message board - a VERY friendly and creative place that i enjoy very much. Anne over there has great service, super shipping and some unique items (like binder rings i just ordered for some coaster albums for the two granmas....)

and now on to my next item - i LOVE the sketches over on Valerie's Got Sketch blog - here is the last one:

and here is my LO - Pezzy is really wanting to feed herself - it's a little scary as you can see from the pics!

Paper is pizzazzill, letters are cut with the alphalicious cricut cart. after being inspired by this post i rubbed them with Milled Lavendar distress ink, misted them with water and crumpled them up. then flattened them out and rubbed lightly with Dusty Concord distress ink to accentuate the wrinkles and then dry brushed perfect pearls powder over them in Forever Violet and Interference Violet. Side is stamped with tooled leather from starving artist stamps and then embossed with clear embossing powder. the two little stamps were colored with prismas and gamsol. there is a grungeboard hinge on the corner of the pic - colored with dusty concord. i highlighted it with heirloom gold perfect pearls after this pic was taken to make it stand out a bit.

i am adding new ranger products to the website so i hope you have a look!!

Sketch for you to try - FINALLY

Finally posting my card for Jen's Sketch for you to try - now that the next one will be out tomorrow! I love these sketches and just love Jen's blog - SO MUCH talent!! so here's her sketch:

and here's my card:

The stamped image is colored with prismas and gamsol and then i did the cracked glass technique. the two orange strips are perfect pearls mist using dried marigold reinker and pearl perfect pearls - all available on my website - the camera doesn't do the shimmer justice!

hubby is coming home today after being in washington for some microsoft training all week. pez and i decided to make him some cupcakes to welcome him home - she calls them cake-cakes. she was such a big help:
