Hi all!
One more week of summer vacation here so we have a busy week ahead of us. The challenge this week on Bitten By the Bug is Summer Flowers. There are so many choices in the Cricut library it was hard to narrow it down. I chose to scrapbook some pictures from several years ago when we were visiting with my mom:
I used cuts from a variety of cartridges: Kate's ABCs, Forever Young, Florals Embellished, Elegant Edges, Lacy Labels, Live Simply
There are some great projects by the design team on the BBTB blog - head over and check them out! I hope you can join in the challenge!

BBTB Wedding/Anniversary Challenge
Hi all!
We are all MELTING up here in Northern VA! Today (Saturday) the heat index is 115 with 80% humidity *gag* - feeling pretty done with summer right now!
Our challenge this week on Bitten By the Bug is Wedding/Anniversary. One day I might get my wedding pics in order and actually scrap them but that was not going to happen this week! So instead - a Clean & Simple anniversary card in my wedding colors:
I was scrolling through images in the Cricut library and this one immediately drew me in and I envisioned the card right then so i went with it. The heart image is from the Rustic Wedding cartridge.
I began with a piece of watercolor paper and some Twinkling H2O watercolors - these are luscious. If you don't have any YOU NEED SOME. Watercolor paint with tons of shimmer - not just thick heavy silver shimmer that blocks the color but shimmer that matches the paint. I wish I could have captured the shimmer but the light wasn't quite right. I added tiny silver glitter accents and that was it!
Head over to the BBTB Blog and see what the other designers have done and then add your won project to our linky!

BBTB: Hot Stuff - Coffee/Tea Challenge
Hi all!
What a whirlwind week we had in Canada with my Cricut buddies! I think we packed 3 trips into 1. It will take a lot more than a 2 page layout to scrap all of our adventures. In the meantime I have a layout today of a previous get together with me, Catherine and Ann for the BBTB Challenge - Coffee/Tea:
This little cupcake is from a Cricut cartridge - I glammed it up with some glittery Stickles on the icing.
This little tea cup also came from a Cricut cartridge. I used Liquid Pearls to enhance the steam swirl.
I made the title using Make The Cut (MTC). It's so easy to add the fonts, a few cuts like the teapot and cupcake and then give it a shadow. This little cuppie also got some glammed up icing.
The stacked cups are from Little Scraps of Heaven - she has fantastic SVGs. I also used several stamps on these pages - old stamps I've had forever from Pink Cat Studio. I colored them using my Polychromos Colored Pencils.
The stamp set came with an adorable border which was perfect along the bottom of my journaling.
I hope you can join our challenge! Head over to BBTB and see the rest of the amazing projects by the other Design Team members!
And now a few pics from our recent adventure last week:

We met up in Baltimore at a paper crafters get together. Afterwards we headed back to my house. Cat had pinpointed every cupcake shop on our route AND set up reservation for tea! Here is a closer look at each page.

Hollyn (Pezza) & Cat's daughter Ava.
Me & Cat!
We adored Ava!
Ann & Craig
Boat time!
They loved the fishing each morning!
We spent the first 4 days at the lake staying in Cat & Bart's trailer - 6 adults and 2 small kids in a small 2 bedroom/1 bath trailer and there wasn't a single bump along the way. Speaks volumes about what an amazing friendship we all have - us girls AND the hubbies too!
